Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

I have vivid dreams too, apparently it is due to the beta blockers.
May walk with a friend this afternoon although still feeling the effects of my fall.

GD and Mattie flowers

Good Morning.
Some food shopping to do this morning and a coffee at a local cafe.
The weather looks set to be fine so I’m hoping to get the ‘Karcher’ out to clean up the garden patios. Hope I can get DH motivated to help.
? forGrandmattie and other dealing with illness or problems.
Hope today is a good one with a smile along the way.

Ash, I too was the pianist at my infants school, but that was back in the day before we'd heard of OH projectors, and I used to teach the hymns by rote - whole school hymn practice every Monday afternoon after playtime!

Later on I went on to teach top juniors at a middle school and that is the age.group that comes up in my dreams.

Good morning all from dull South Lanarkshire.

I’m so sorry GM, you and your poor husband are having an awful time.

Kalu I’m saddened to hear the news of your DH.

I didn’t have a good day yesterday with Senga, which is the name I’ve given to my stoma. Let’s hope she behaves better today.

It’s our local Gala Day today, not that I’ll be out and about, but it looks like the weather will put a damper on it. The bouncy castles have already been cancelled for safety reasons as the wind is forecast to be strong. I feel for the children who look forward to this day.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Greyduster Sat 11-Jun-22 07:41:03

GM ??. Thinking about you both.

Ashcombe Sat 11-Jun-22 07:35:46

So sorry, grandMattie. Words are inadequate but we are thinking of you both.? ✝️?

monk08 Sat 11-Jun-22 07:35:06

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country. Just took a little stroll round the garden so peaceful just the birds chirping away.
Not a lot planned for today DH will finish painting the garden furniture so I'll have tidy up out there make the most of the sun.
Will catch up later full English is calling enjoy your day whatever your plans and may you all find some ?.

Oopsadaisy1 Sat 11-Jun-22 07:31:25

GM?and hugs.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Oxfordshire, not too much to to today, maybe just change the beds and a quick tidy up, oh and ironing.
I used to have a recurring dream that I was back in my old house, apparently I still had a key and when the new owners went out I would go back in and sit and read a book, the dream always ended with the owners returning home and me hiding behind the bedroom curtains, I have had that dream on and off for over 35 years.
No doubt some deep physiological reason for it, as I still have it occasionally!
Anyway, hope our usual early posters are ok and hope the rest of us have a good day.

grandMattie Sat 11-Jun-22 07:26:01

Good morning from E Kent.
Haven’t read any posts, will do so later.
Rubbish night, district nurse finally called at 0200 to give an antiemetic injection. Another one has just left, having done the same after being woken up at 0600 with more vomiting ?
Am beyond tired and sad.
Carpe diem ????

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where it’s a beautiful sunny start to the day
It’ll be quite a busy day here with DGSs swimming lessons, a trip to the garden centre, dropping off DGS1 to a birthday party and then a bbq planned for this evening, it’s all good family activities which I’m so pleased to be part of.
Enjoy your trip to Cadiz pantglas it’s on my long list of places to visit sometime
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 11-Jun-22 07:09:38

Morning all from what looks like a sunny West Oxfordshire. My daughter is coming today from London and will stay for one night. I should be volunteering today at a local famous house but I cancelled due to my ongoing migraine problems.

Ashcombe Sat 11-Jun-22 07:06:50

Good morning from a beautifully sunny morning in Torbay, which is lucky for my church as we're holding a Summer Fair on the green opposite my home today, where I’m helping.

I can identify with the difficult dreams from teaching days, Ali23 and BlueSapphire. Being Music Co-ordinator, I always played the piano for Assemblies and even now have dreams of being unable to find the right OH transparency of the words of a hymn for a bully of a Headmaster.

Thank you for your warm and generous comments yesterday about my DGD’s dancing achievement. It’s lovely to share special news with such kind folk.

I hope today is a better one for you, Greyduster and for all with heavy hearts at this time. I hope grandMattie’s absence so far doesn’t mean her DH is worse again.

Enjoy your break, Gingster!

Have a good weekend, if you can! ?????

Gingster Sat 11-Jun-22 07:00:01

Good morning all and it’s a lovely one. ?.

We are travelling to our cottage by the sea this morning, and will, all being well , stay for about 10 days. The garden will need attention as we haven’t been there for a month but it will be lovely to be there.

I hope you all have a pleasant day. ?

Good morning from a bright and sunny Leamington.
A busy day here today. DGD3 has swimming and dancing, DGD2 is playing in a football tournament. After lunch daughter, son in law and two oldest granddaughters are going to Manchester to see Ed Sheeran and staying overnight.
Meanwhile youngest granddaughter and I are going into town on the bus, her choice. There will be shopping and ice cream before meeting up with my cousin who will drive us home and stay for dinner.
I'm hoping to watch the football this evening once E is in bed.
I hope Saturday is kind to you all and that you find some sunshine ? xx

Chrissielou Sat 11-Jun-22 06:33:14

A beautiful morning here in Oxfordshire. Sun is streaming in and I'm sitting with a coffee in bed. We will work in the garden today, walk the dog over the fields and spend most of the day outside, just as I like it. I love weekends!
I hope you all have a day filled with sunshine.

Ali23 Sat 11-Jun-22 06:31:18

Good morning everyone from sunny Leicester.
Blue Sapphire, I have had the very same dream many times. Always, my attempts to be prepared are thwarted by a particularly noxious head teacher. I think that getting up is the answer.

No firm plans today...Off to do the food shopping when the shops open, as the cupboard is bare.

Have the best Saturday that you can, everyone.

Susan56 Sat 11-Jun-22 06:27:48

Good morning from Shropshire.A sunny day forecast.

We had a lovely day with the grandchildren yesterday but not such a lovely night? Both went to bed on time,H woke up at 11,DH took him downstairs and that’s where they have been all night sleeping in a chair.Everytime DH stepped on the stairs H woke up and screamed?Today will be a playing in the garden day and probably falling asleep in our chairs once the children have gone home!

So many of our good morning gang coping with illness and worries about loved ones.Thinking of you all and hoping for a peaceful day for you ??

Urmstongran Sat 11-Jun-22 06:18:53

A sunny start to the day here too Mick.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester. We are minding L’il Miss for a couple of hours while her daddy takes the Boy Wonder off for a football tournament and mummy has an appointment for cut & highlights at the salon.

We have no other plans. All the holiday laundry has been done and put away. The Grand Prix qualifying rounds today will entertain Himself - it’s the race tomorrow. If we ever won the lottery (maybe I’ll start buying tickets!) he’d follow the circuit around the world.
?

Enjoy Saturday all who can. x

BlueSapphire Sat 11-Jun-22 06:18:26

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, a good forecast for the rest of the day. Up unusually early as I was having my usual nightmare dream of being in front of a class and having nothing prepared; every time I turned over and tried to go back yo sleep I was back in the dream again, so in the end I gave up and got up. Have got the towels in the washing machine already.

Had a lovely day out with a friend yesterday in Milton Keynes, looking for a fridge and freezer for her new kitchen. Sadly she didn't find what she wanted there, but we did have a nice Italian lunch. Came back to Northampton and she found what she wanted in a local store.

Shall go shopping to M&S Food later this morning and perhaps have coffee and an early lunch.
Then home to cut the back grass and tidy up the garden.

Hope the sun sunshine shines on all today.

Buen dia from lovely Andalusia ?where I’m up with sparrowfart and a full chamberpot ☕️ - we’re off on another trip, to Cadiz this time, another first!

It’ll be a long day so plenty of refreshments ?in between strolling through busy streets and choosing a delicious Menu del Dia ?

Hope all with chemo and other treatments to worry about for themselves or loved ones have peace of mind this weekend- it can be wearing to be on duty for these things, helping to ease things along ? your resilience and fortitude is heartwarming to read about ?

Lovely to see Kalu is back ? and welcome to SewnSew and any other newbies I may have missed - that’s the problem with being a part-timer on here!

I’ll catch up with your bizzinesses on my return this evening- don’t do anything I wouldn’t do now.....?

Greyduster Sat 11-Jun-22 06:03:47

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Hope you get your new phone sorted soon, Mick; they’re such a lifeline to us. I have been at DD’s since yesterday afternoon. Yesterday was not a good day for me, but it cheered me up being here. Today, after a visit with DD to their local garden centre, I will go home and hope to keep busy over the weekend and get things more in perspective.
Have the best day you can folks.
