Good Morning Mick and everyone from a bright Hull morning. Hoping it’s not as windy today.
Yesterday afternoon we had the family over for a bbq which they enjoyed. I spend one and a half hours with DGD2 baby Bea fast asleep on my chest which was heaven. I was handed a glass of wine so I was sorted.
Today it’s just the two of us so just see what the day brings. More on the bbq as we have some sea bass we didn’t put on yesterday.

GM really hoping your day is a little better today. It must be so heartbreaking seeing your DH suffering. ?

Mumofmadboys I was thinking about you this morning wondering how you were with your guests. You would think they’d be loving having all that outside space to run around in.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday. All those family gatherings and Sunday roasts sound wonderful.
Virtual hugs for those with family worries and illness. ??

Sorry I don't mean to moan. Our 'family'come from a flat in a city so life has been so different for them.

Like the evacuees in WW2?. Countryside came as a shock to the children.

Good morning, not much happening here today but wanted to send hugs to Mattie. Would it be possible for your DH to stay at the hospice after chemo for a few days? The lack of support is appalling.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11°. It looks a bit grey out. I feel for you Grandmattie ?.
Lots of fun and laughter at Batty Towers this morning. Dgs1 had a sleepover last night and is up watching trains and playing with trains. He slept all night without a sound (Sorry Susan) although his grandma woke often!
Today we will have a cooked breakfast later. He's already had a pancake and milk. Then we'll make chocolate crispy cakes and maybe have a walk to see the motorway, if the weather holds up. Have a good day all.

Good morning from Cumbria! Must get out of bed! Church this morning, some gardening this afternoon. Otherwise pottering and maybe a walk. Met old friends yesterday for a walk and lunch out. Our UA guests stayed in all day, despite good weather and the children remained in their PJs all day. Certainly different parenting style than we are used to! Unfortunately the adults are more engaged with their devices than the kids. I hope the children will play in the garden while I potter/ garden this afternoon.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Busy day yesterday with family here from lunchtime until 10pm. They had collected the new car and were keen to show me.
DS suggested a game of Scrabble after dinner but stopped the game when it looked as if I might win hmm
Sister and BIL visited but they are under a lot of stress trying to sort out the damage to our other sister's flat.
I am going to have a quiet morning then SIL is coming this afternoon and we will have roast beef and all the trimmings.
Sorry to hear things are not improving grandMattie, my DH never got a syringe driver in fact he got nothing at all. I am still waiting a return call from 111 eight months on angry
Have the best day you can.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
I've got laundry in the machine and it'll dry quickly on the line today.
I'll get the paint brush out and do a bit more woodwork and take a walk to Dunelm and the Range for a browse. Our house is still very much a project 15 months in and being in the City centre saves a lot of petrol!
Love to all ? x

Good morning all and it’s a sunny, calm day here on the Suffolk coast. It’s lovely to be back. We gardened yesterday and got it looking almost back in shape. It’s a large plot but mainly lawn, so once that’s mowed it looks neat and tidy. I’m ‘cultivating’ wild areas too. Looks pretty with poppies, cornflowers and wild roses.

We’ll take little pooch along the beach with her ball and she’ll enjoy running in and out of the sea.

Garden furniture needs attention - sanding down and a fresh coat of something. The summerhouse could do with a coat but DS’s 1 and 2 are coming for the weekend to do jobs and that could be on their list ?.

GM - so sorry you and your DH are going through this.?

brook safe journey home.

Sar enjoy your family time

GG - where can I find Crawdads film?

Wishing you all a pleasant Sunday, whatever you’re doing.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I should get up soon! Our daughter is here for the weekend and she has asked for her favourite roast chicken and all the trimmings Sunday lunch. Fortunately I have some stuffing and bread sauce left over from last time which I had frozen. Quite a batch of gravy too. Pudding will be a selection of homemade ice cream. GM ??? I’m so be sorry to hear your difficult news. Has anyone suggested a return to the hospice to sort out Mr GM’s medication? It must be so hard for you having to ring the relevant agencies.

Good morning. A breezy but bright start here in N. Bucks.
It’s been an unusually quiet weekend for us.
We did get the patio cleaned up yesterday and MIL is coming for lunch today.
Hope Sunday is kind to all.

kittylester Sun 12-Jun-22 07:45:46

Morning all from a warm and sunny North Leicestershire.

Not a lot on here - some houseplant repotting and then DH is doing some lamb on the barbecue.

Sending love to GM and everyone else who needs it.

Good morning everyone from sunny Cambridge where it looks like it’s another beautiful day. I won’t see that much of it though as I’m heading home later on the flight back up to Inverness. I’ll be planning my next trip again soon though

GrannyGravy13 Sun 12-Jun-22 07:36:31

Morning all

Hope you get your phone sorted Mick

Oh grandMattie I have run out of words for your dire situation and the treatment your DH is receiving (((hugs)))

Beechnut I am really looking forward to the Crawdads film, I hope I am not disappoint as I have a firm picture in my head of all the character and the town.

Pleased you are enjoying your visit Sar53

It’s blue sky here with a few wispy clouds, not sure what’s on the agenda for today, no idea what we are doing for dinner might have to pop to supermarket for a joint or hopefully go out for a late Sunday lunch.

I hope Su day is kind to you all
Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

grandMattie Sun 12-Jun-22 07:21:16

Late good morning from E Kent. It appears to be glorious.
A rubbish day, with phone calls to all agencies several times, culminating in a syringe driver being installed with anti emetics. It took a long time to be effective. I ended up calling NHS 111 at 2300 and was promised a return call “within 2 hours”. At 0425, the phone woke me up (I had gone to sleep in despair of a reply), with the doctor refusing to increase the medication, which the district nurse had wanted!
So I’m pooped. Off early to church.
Thank you for all your good wishes, hugs, etc. they are much appreciated.
All the best for today especially the kalus and marydoll.
Carpe diem. ?????

Beechnut Sun 12-Jun-22 07:00:19

Good Morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

I’m off out with Beechnutella today. We are going to visit an open garden. She gave me a list of four to choose from.

Thanks for the info (on another thread) GrannyGravy about the Crawdad film. I didn’t know that and felt pleased I thought it would make a good film. I know I’m sad ?

Enjoy your day all and your roasts. Hope there will be not too many worries ???

Sar53 Sun 12-Jun-22 06:31:54

Good morning from Leamington where the sun is shining.
I took six year old granddaughter iinto town on the bus yesterday afternoon, her choice, where we had delicious icecream at a local ice cream parlour.
Her parents and big sisters will be back from Manchester later where they had a great time seeing Ed Sheeran last night.
Lots of love to GM and anyone else going through a difficult time.
Enjoy Sunday everyone, much love xx

Greyduster Sun 12-Jun-22 06:22:28

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a bright, sunny South Yorkshire. Sorry to hear you are still having mobile woes, Mick. Is there an EE shop locally you can take it to where they may be able to sort it out quickly?
I bought some plants yesterday and intend to get them potted up today into containers to hang on a fence. I also have some heritage tomatoes to pot up that I was a bit late sowing but they look sturdy so fingers crossed. I will try and get a walk in later, maybe along the river. Steak and green salad for dinner.
A hug for anyone who is struggling today. Have the best day you can, all.

monk08 Sun 12-Jun-22 06:21:41

Good morning Mick Ash and all who follow from the Black country. Sunny start to the day so bedding in the wash.
Early start DH has a fishing contest, because of his many tablets 1 which must be taken 1hr before food it makes for very early and long day.
I have a visit to a friend planned it's her 80th and her daughter's are having an open house drop in for her. She is an ex work colleague so hopefully will catch up with other colleagues as well.
Will read through later enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?.

Ashcombe Sun 12-Jun-22 06:11:23

Good morning from a beautiful, sunny Torbay. I hope you soon have satisfaction regarding your mobile, Mick.

Thank you for your kind comment yesterday, Stilllearning, regarding my dancing DGD and my neighbour. The latter has until September to leave but has already begun packing. I advised her to suggest to her landlord that the flat was advertised as an investment purchase with a reliable tenant of 14 years standing. He is considering it. There have been too many changes in this block recently, with one dear chap dying and two other flats changing hands.

I do hope those with worries about loved ones see some relief today. Every blessing. ??✝️??
