Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky start here in brackley this morning.
My aim today is to get an early bus to Bicester as its still showing no sim card despite tweeting EE on what to do .
And hopefully return home with it fixed??
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all from a now cloudy northwest coast.
Got lost yesterday on a visit to an elderly conductor I have worked with over the years. Set the satnag at home but it wasn’t talking to me, started rerouting, then nothing. So I was late driving about guessing and finally a ten year old put me straight. Arrived rather fraught, but nice to see a couple of old singing colleagues too. Took a wrong turning coming home as well and saw bits of the countryside I hadn’t intended to…
Hate driving. Sad to see old conductor friend waiting for carers and much diminished. He put a ready made cottage pie in the oven as we left.
Off to sing this afternoon but not feeling enthusiastic and putting stuff together for Ibiza on Friday.
Thoughts to all with worries, will read through later.

Morning everyone, late to post here but didn’t feel great when I woke up at 7. Feel a bit better now. I’d be pleased to join an Essex meet-up if it works out with dates - hope that’s ok?!
Wishing all some joy in their day.

Gingster Tue 14-Jun-22 10:43:57

Good morning all from a sunny but blustery Suffolk coast.
We are taking little pooch to the forest today - yesterday she swam too much in the sea and was limping a bit last evening. Seems ok today but a gentle walk rather than a chasing and swimming type of day.

Have a great meetup Glasgow grans.
Yes GG we must make a date.

Wishing you all a lovely day ?

Grammaretto Tue 14-Jun-22 10:37:39

I'm in my way to Glasgow. I caught an earlier bus and watched the annual taxi outing. I hope no-one needs a taxi in Edinburgh today as it's the day that taxi drivers take disabled children to the seaside.
I wish the weather was cooperating.

Good morning all from grey Dublin
We are all packed ready to go to the airport this afternoon to fly to Gatwick. It’s been a bit if a whistle stop tour - my 2nd time in the city but first time for my sister who is with us. It’s a lovely lively city with plenty to do.
Haven’t had time to read many posts, hopefully on the flight will have a chance to catch up. Also hope when we get to my sisters house her internet will be working. It’s years since I last had so little access!
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 14°C.

Hope you get your phone sorted today Mick and your journey is trouble free.

It’s good to see Matt is back now his decorating duties are done Urms grin

Your painting commission sounds lovely Bluesapphire, so many happy memories.

GrandMattie and Baubles flowers

I slept much better last night after taking stomach meds at bedtime. No nausea or pains and no horrible dream either.

I hope our Glesca Grans have a lovely meet up today.

A warm welcome to any new posters I may have missed.

My thoughts are with those going through difficult times, I hope today is a good one for us all ?.

Good morning from West Sussex where we are packing up the campervan for a minibreak in Essex. Planning to explore Constable haywain country and maybe Beth Chatto garden. I just have to finish a batch of strawberry jam - should be ready for jarring up now.

Hope things improve for you today Baubles and for you and your DH Grandmattie. Kalu you are bound to be tired with all you are going through but hope you can both enjoy having your family with you.

Kalu Tue 14-Jun-22 09:51:35

Good morning to all from yet another grey skies morning in Galsgow where rumour has it a very refained group of ladies will be meeting up today. So sorry I will miss this one with a great bunch of lovely Gnetters as they share each other’s company. Have a super time all.

Sorry to hear you are feeling low this morning Baubles. Lack of sleep is the worst when you are already feeling under par.
Sending you a shed load of love and strength to help you through a tough day.

We are plodding on here at Kalu Hall, one foot in front of the other but golly I do feel tired. Anyhoo, onwards and sideways, nothing else for it.

Shared love and bon courage to all battling through each day and to all, enjoy any pleasure which comes your way. ?

Baggs Tue 14-Jun-22 09:33:46

Gentle hugs from me, baubles, and for anyone else who needs one.

ShazzaKanazza Tue 14-Jun-22 09:33:02

Good morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

I’m feeling a little low as I didn’t have a good night again so I’ll just send my good wishes to everyone. ?

Good morning Michael and everyone. I hope you get your phone sorted out quickly Mick,it makes life so difficult without one. Mine needs to be checked as it’s developed an inability to not buzz every time I get any sort of message. I suspect that I need to update it, it’s an iPhone6 after all, but I resent the the need for regular updates. I probably shouldn’t have gone with Apple originally but I don’t know if I’m too old to get used to a different system.

I’m going to guess that it’s a beautiful day here as I haven’t fully opened the shutter yet, the forecast is good with the temperature cooling to about 30°. Yesterday there were incredibly strong gusts of wind, some of the washing was dry on the line before I’d hung the rest out.
Now back to catch up with you all.smile

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is struggling this morning. I do hope you get your phone fixed today, Mick! Yesterday I went out and bought two new photo frames, and some large plant pots to accommodate the tomato plants I’m growing. I also bought a new swimsuit which I found quite by chance, so it’s back to trawling up and down the local pool soon! Some laundry to do today and I also have an ironing mountain to tackle. Perhaps I’ll meet kittylester at the top?!
GS has sent a text to ask if he can phone me to “discuss his history homework”. Presumably this is another period in history where he thinks I am so old that I was actually there!
Have the best day you can folks!

Good morning from sunnyN. Bucks.
Really enjoyed the Downton film yesterday. Only 9 of us in the cinema.

This morning I have DGS1, so swings , singing and playing.
This afternoon I am going to a garden not far away. It is a private garden but opens up on Tuesdays and a few other days. Will hopefully do some sketching and have tea and cake.

Wishing all a good day especially those with worries and problems that need sorting.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and grey. Marydoll and the other Glasgow Grans, have a lovely blether today. I'm unable to join you as I'm working. Brook are you taking something with you to be valued? It sounds fun.
Yesterday I made apricot jam as I spotted them in Aldi. It took my mind off my aches and pains. Then I popped up to a neighbour with a jar as it's her favourite. We had a blether about the moves happening in the street. My old neighbour opposite has had to go into a nursing home and her house has been sold in three days! Lots of offers apparently. A house in a nearby street sold in a weekend! A very popular area and style of house for both.
Today I'm doing a role play at an interview for a head teacher. I've done them for years but I've decided that this will be the last. I'm four years retired and my knowledge isn't as current as it was and I'm not enjoying tas I used to. Anyway, a chicken curry is in the fridge for dinner. Have a good day all.

I think Galsgow is a brilliant typo!!!!!

?

Marydoll Tue 14-Jun-22 07:49:28

Has anyone warned Glasgow?
How dare you, Kitty! We are a very refined bunch. wink
However, we have have been advised that Glasgow City Council Environmental Dept. will be on hand to measure the decibels, as some noise nuisance has been predicted.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another hot, dry day here.
I will be spending it volunteering in the charity shop. I shall make full use of the air conditioning and often wonder how they can afford to run it. It'd be too warm to work there without it though.
I haven't read the other posts yet but send love to all and hope there are loads of shenanigans in Galsgow. ?X

kittylester Tue 14-Jun-22 07:42:33

Good morning all from a really sunny bit of North Leicestershire.

I have Mount Everest to tackle today and then a visit to the egg farm, via the post box, is necessary.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Has anyone warned Glasgow?

ShazzaKanazza Tue 14-Jun-22 07:36:21

Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s dull but can see blue through the clouds.
Hoping you get the phone sorted soon Mick.
Thoughts to grandMattie and Grannmarie for their poorly DHs

Today I’m visiting my uncle in Bridlington and taking his shopping and picking Mum up from her caravan and bringing her home. She’s enjoyed two weeks there.
Hoping the Glasgow grans enjoy a fun meet up and cuppa together and hope journeys to and from there are trouble free. ?

Enjoy your day and virtual hugs for those with illness and worries. ??

grandMattie Tue 14-Jun-22 07:27:26

Oh, all the best for your meet up in Glasgow.

grandMattie Tue 14-Jun-22 07:27:03

Good morning from a bright, sunny E Kent.
Not had a chance to read the posts yet, only just got up after a disturbed night,
Had a good morning yesterday. Novella alert…
I had an appointment with the audiology department at 1345. I left a little early to get petrol, grabbing my letter on my way out. I was a bit disconcerted when noticing that it was for Thursday 13/6…. Probably an administrative error. I drove 30 minutes to get there, still puzzled about the “Thursday”. Just before getting out of the car, I checked the letter again. It was for Thursday 13/6/2019. Yes, 2019!,! ?. I immediately called DS who told his dad what a prat I am. Cue the two chaps laughing like drains.
Got home. Back to sq. 1. DH being sick, etc. finally called the district nurse for another injection. He’s lovely that one and checked through the amount of drugs DH is getting and has sorted out an increase for today. Unfortunately, my stock of drugs has run dry, and I have no way of getting more until tomorrow at the earliest, I think. I have emailed the hospice team and hope they can help.
Carpe diem. ????

I’m sorry to be missing the Glasgow grans meet up today but we’ve tickets to attend the recording of Antiques Roadshow at Brodie Castle so we’re off out there today. Have a lovely get together ladies and hopefully see you next time
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?
