I was scared when I had to have a general anaesthetic to remove a breast tumour but they are so good at putting you at ease that it went very well.
My DD works on trials and there have been some very good results for some people.
Good luck. I hope you are one who responds well ?

You are not being daft, you are being perfectly reasonable, but I'm sure you know as well as I do that you are not helpless - in fact it sounds as if you're being very helpful and contributing to the well-being of others as well as, I hope, yourself.

You know you can do this and I wish you a straightforward procedure which does all you want it to.

Very best wishes. flowers and a ? to cheer you up (hope you like ducks!)

It’s hard to hand over control to others when you are coping daily with your illness.
Good luck for tomorrow, I hope you aren’t in hospital for too long ?

Hi Lucca, you are not being daft!! I had surgery recently and had an idea of what to think of as I went under, try to get a lovely thought into your head (a sunny beach with gentle waves lapping was mine). Having said that, one of the Theatre Nurses, just got hold of my hand, mask on and away with the Fairies in moments. I cant tell you how that hand hold made me feel, it was just lovely to have that Human contact and I think calmed me nicely.
Good Luck with your procedure, wishing you all the best x

Good luck Lucca for tomorrow.
I hope that the trial does help you, you have been so very brave. Anyone would be anxious, but you will be fine and wake up to the sunshine, ready to fight another day.

Due to have a procedure tomorrow for a “trial” which might help a bit with some of my fine selection of tumours (but most likely to help further the research) and I’m getting a bit anxious about the general anaesthetic. I don’t like the feeling of helplessness when you are wheeled into the theatre. Tell me I’m being daft….
