Morning all

I agree with the other two Essex Grans the thunder storm last night was spectacular, the air is definitely chillier and not so heavy.

Wea are going to youngest sons for a BBQ with DD and the DiL’s parents, I have made a pavlova and cheese cake for dessert to take along.

Fathers Day is hard without Dads, thinking of those who are no longer with us,

Oh dear grandMattie you seem to be lurching from kne crisis to another sending you a (((hug)))

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Good morning all from a sunny North Leicestershire.

Not a lot happening here today. A phone call to DD2 and then a visit to a wedding event being put on by DD3 in a walled garden.

We had worrying news about one of DH's brothers who had another fall and was waiting for an ambulance.

Good morning all from grey and breezy Harrogate
DH is being taken out for the day by our DD1. They are going for a long walk which is why I have been excluded. Anyway it gives me an empty!! Apart from going to church, I haven’t decided how to make the best of it!
Your days are never short of drama GrandMattie but I bet you wish they were more mundane.
Happy Father’s Day were relevant.
Have the best day possible folks

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and blowy with mostly blue skies. Grandmattie what a night for you and your husband. Sar and Pittcity I love a thunderstorm. I don't think we had any here last night. It's not been hot enough. Ashcombe I hope your sil gets better soon.
Yesterday was lovely. A long chat with a former colleague and friend then we visited the school fair. I was pleased to see some former colleagues who seemed equally pleased to see me! It was busy too, which must have been gratifying for the organisers.
Today I will have to go to Aldi as I put it off yesterday. Apart from that, nothing is planned. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a sunny Black country.
Rain all day yesterday but no thunderstorms.
Family coming for dinner today Dil had suggested we eat out but I said I didn't mind cooking. If the weather holds we can take a trip up to the park with the boys.
?hello to any newbies and a ? to Urms best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs where needed, safe travels those on the move.
Enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The thunder and lightning kept me awake late last night but it has cleared the air for a cooler day.
There is more rain forecast, which I don't need as I have DH's fishing laundry to tackle.
We have the chicken salad I'd planned to eat yesterday today. We ended up eating out with DD1 and family last night.
Love to all ?

Good morning from a dull and windy Torbay. My weather app says it’s 11 degrees but will feel like nine due to the North wind. The weather is in turmoil it seems but I wouldn’t want another hot summer like 1976 as portrayed on C5 last night!

What a night for some of you, after an eventful day yesterday for grandMattie and her DH! I hope things settle down so that those who are fathers can enjoy their day and those feeling bereft may recall good memories, as shall I.

My DSiL in Crewe has Covid, picked up on a business trip to the States. I chose a tapas hamper to send him via Bunches to cheer him up as he’s a dutiful, supportive father and always good to DH and me. (and my DD!) He'll be frustrated to miss coaching his son's football team.

No plans apart from church then pottering here.

Have a blessed Sunday, everyone! ??✝️??

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’ll go to church this morning - a tiny and very ancient church a couple of villages away. Then it’s the second day of our Village Festival. I hope the rain holds off. I will be on the WI stall. I need to think about dinner tonight and take something out to defrost. Maybe chicken in a pasta sauce? ??? to lots of you.

Good morning from a very grey and miserable looking Essex by the sea.
We had a tremendous thunderstorm around 11 last night as we were going to bed, what a light show.
Yesterday we finally decided on a new fridge freezer which is being delivered at the end of the month. The old one is very iced up so will take sometime to defrost ready for collection.
No plans for today but I expect a visit to DH's eldest daughter will figure somewhere.
Have a super Sunday everyone, love to all xx

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire today. A bitter sweet day for us, as it’s the first Father’s Day for my two without their beloved Dad. DD and her menfolk are coming over later for lunch and we will raise a glass to him. Anyway, onward and upward. If the weather keeps up we may get to sit in the garden. It feels a mite chilly at the moment though!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from a grey, overcast E Kent. The temperature has dropped considerably to a comfortable one for me.
Why is nothing easy at chateau gM? We had two dramas yesterday.
First, when the district nurse came to do the driver, he set everything up, put the syringe in, only to find that it was no longer working. He had to give an injection to DH to cover the time that he found a new driver. He also had to throw away the prepared mixture. He came back about 4 hours later with a new driver, and mirabile dictu, it worked! Unfortunately, he also realised that we were very short of one drug. It isn’t normally stocked at pharmacies, so we had ring round local chemists to find who had some in and arrange for an emergency prescription. Mercifully, our local Boots had ordered too much from the previous prescription so were able to give us some to tide over the weekend and Monday!
The thunderstorm around midnight woke me up, as did the driver beeping telling me the line was occluded, as did BT kindly telephoning me to say there had been a power cut. Cue getting up to answer the phone and sort out the driver…. I’m pooped already.
DD left in the afternoon after having made further adjustments to the “sick room” although DH spent the day with us in the sun. DS was off to meet friends near Whitstable for a BBQ.
I hope today is calm, for us, for everyone. Carpe diem. ?????

Bore da Mick and all who follow from my little nest in north Wales- I do hope Lauranorderr has some more of that lovely sunshine ? left in the Island weatherbarn and sends it across so the rest of my washing gets done today?

It’s Fathers Day so I’ll be trotting up the valley to see mine with my offering of ? curd wot I made yesterday with mi amiga’s organic lemons - he loves it on his toast (and never complains it’s too sharp - unlike DD?)

Poor Blossoming taking a tumble - I know you’ll be aching in places you didn’t know existed today (cos I managed to do same last year but alone one dark morning ?‍♀️) ? to you and all with health cares at the moment x

Have a lovely time in Ibiza Hollysteers and all who are on jollies ???

BlueBalou Sun 19-Jun-22 05:55:36

Good morning Mick, it’s a grey start here.
Lots more sorting and furniture shuffling today before decorating kicks off tomorrow.
Dog walk this morning will be a damp one, thankfully the fields have been cut and cleared for hay so shouldn’t get too wet ?
Tired this morning as not sleeping well, too many thoughts whirling around my head ?. Maybe a nap later ?
