I was wandering the house at 4 and finding the best window to listen to the muntjac deer barking. Still not fully functional this morning!

I wish I'd seen this thread last night. I was awake until 5 am. It's mainly the heat - it's been nearly 40° here the last couple of days.

I would love to be able to get up early and do stuff before it gets too hot, and have a siesta when the sun is high, but I feel as though I've been scrubbing floors all night. It's now 9.30 am here in Central Europe and I really should drag myself down for breakfast.

Normally up from 0430, usually 0500.
I just catch upon reading, do washing…. I do have a nap in the afternoon though.

Hope location location helped you drift off lemsip

Been awake since 4:30 with similar to you, pain in my back from a herniated disk/sciatica.

I’m probably going to try watch a tv show (preferably something soporific and boring) to nod off again.

I was awake just after 4 as I often am. Beautiful sunrise. Eventually got myself a cup of tea and have just listened to The Just One Thing podcast on the benefits of eating an apple a day. It’s never worth me trying to get back to sleep but I really should make the most of these wake times. I’ll get a second cup of tea and put some washing on.

Will a day owl do? Yes, I wake several times in the night with a frozen shoulder/rotator cuff injury. I just put on a podcast, pop a paracetamol and try to nod off again. Having a sweet little cat on the bed is helpful. Sweet dreams x

Yes, I usually drift in and out of sleep unless something specific catches my attention. Certainly don't move out of cosy bed or that would be me totally awake.

hi Kim, do you manage to get back to sleep at any point? or is thit it? I have put tv on and found location location to watch hoping I may drift off for an hour at least.

Kim19 Mon 20-Jun-22 04:40:19

Hi Lemsip! Been awake about an hour. Regular occurrence but not a troublesome one. Just use it to plan my day or catch up on missed items. Hope your paracetamol is kicking in.
