Blimey Ann! That’s super (Uber?) annoying shock

I’m just going back up to try again.
Had a cup of decaf tea and a look at the stars which seem very bright tonight.

I am also awake having been woken up about 20 minutes ago by an Uber driver who rang 3 times insisting that a car had been ordered on my number.
I now cannot get back to sleep, hence me scrolling through GN.
I hope the night owls soon go off again, I doubt I will.

Sorry about your hip. Maybe tonight will be a good night. Reading is an amazingly good way to go to sleep get back to sleep. Some nights I measure how well I’ve slept by how low my Kindle battery is. Tonight’s going to be one of those nights.

It's 1.45am and I'm still up though in my dressing gown and just about ready to think of going to bed. I popped in a hot water bottle as no heating on this evening. I have had restless legs syndrome 24/7 for 40 years and find this is the best time to hope to get to sleep while reading. Usually I only get a couple of hours then wide awake and up again. It doesn't help that I also have a painful hip which doctors think is coming from my lumber region and am awaiting an MRI. Sorry to have rambled there (some background) but this is my first post in this thread.

Yes night owl here - I don’t drop off till about 1.30 a.m.

Doodledog Sun 25-Sept-22 00:09:08

Nor me. I try to turn the light of at 1.00, even if I'm not tired, as usually I can get to sleep then if I try, but lately I've been waking again at about 3.00 and lying awake for ages. I don't know why, but it's irritating.

BlushingSheep Sun 25-Sept-22 00:07:33

Well, I'm still up. Not been sleeping well for a while now.

Wyllow3 I’m up too, sciatica killing me tonight, hoping I’ll nod off but a hot tea and bath didn’t do much sadly.

Another oft night owl bookmarking.

lemsip Sun 26-Jun-22 04:22:20

lemsip Wed 22-Jun-22 09:13:15

had a good night sleep for first time in ages, pain in shoulder and neck from trapped nerve seems to have sorted itself out some how.......

harrigran Tue 21-Jun-22 08:54:12

I was up every hour during the night but resisted the urge to look at a screen. Fully light at 4am and tempted to get up but nodded off again.

dogsmother Tue 21-Jun-22 07:10:34

Hah…should have come here for a chat. Also awake on/off throughout the night with lower back pain. Can’t pin mine down to anything or spot yet. Had it in late April at least it was centralized.

karmalady Tue 21-Jun-22 06:11:44

Normal waking for me is 5 to 5.30, if it is earlier, sometimes 3ish, then I eat a small oatcake in bed and that gets me back to sleep. I like being up and about at 5+. I have a nice gentle start to the day, I often float outside, pick some berries and listen to the birds, which is what I did this morning

Hiraeth Tue 21-Jun-22 05:32:38

No,Kim19 I’m up as well. Been out in the garden and done some watering . Beautiful sunshine . Now time for a cuppa tea and to enjoy a peaceful beautiful summer morning

Shamelessly bookmarking, as I also have a frozen shoulder and am awake a lot in the night these days.
