Good Morning Mick and everyone from Hull. It’s a lovely sunny warm one today. Could be a shorts day.
grandMattie ? thoughts as always
Happy birthday Sar?
Thinking about your daughter today Kitty. ?
dogsmother acute back pain is truly awful isn’t it. ? yoga stretches usually clear mine if I get it.

Yesterday I went to my friend for a cuppa. She messaged me and said put your trainers on and we’ll go for a walk. Well talk about walking fast and she talks so much I could barely keep up with her she’s relentless. Got 10,000 steps on that walk alone. She’d already done that walk at six o’clock that morning. Then back to hers for tea from a lovely teapot. She’d even bought specially gluten free little cakes for me and cut a pile of fruit up for us. Then gave me a trowel so I could take any plants I liked out of her garden for ours. A few days before that she gave me half a dozen jars of her homemade piccalilli. Talk about hospitality and generosity. Lovely lady.

Enjoy your day everyone if you can. Thinking of those with family worries and illness. ??

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ?Northampton. I might see if I have enough washing for a load.

Decided I must lose a few pounds before my cruise (tried on my posh frocks last week and horrified to find they are on the tight side, and I can't do any of my skirts and shorts up). So when I went to M&S yesterday to pick up an order, bought a few of their low-calorie meals to give myself a kick start. Would like to lose about half a stone over the next two months.

A morning of pottering, followed by a health walk after lunch. Then water the garden.

Happy birthday ? Sar, have a lovely day.

The longest day - may the sun shine on us all.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 21-Jun-22 08:27:18

Good morning from a sunny but cool Oxfordshire.
Of to Currys again today as new fridge is on the blink again, I need a new one and I’m sitting in the store until they agree, I’ll take a book with me so they know I mean business.
Apart from that some cooking to be done for the freezer in readiness for MzOops 50th birthday next month.
is Urms ok? As I haven’t seen her around and a PM wouldn’t go.
Have a good day everyone.

Mapleleaf Tue 21-Jun-22 08:24:53

Good morning all,

We have lovely skies and sunshine here this morning, and the breeze seems to be very light for a change.

Pottering about today, I’ve got some ironing to tackle before it gets too hot and the bedding to change - never a dull moment in the Maple household! To quote Marydoll, I’ve got an empty today, so will probably get out my book later and sit in the garden to read it. Chores first, though.

Happy birthday Sar53, enjoy your lunch ????.

Hope you catch up on some sleep today, Greyduster. Those nights where things whirr round and round in your mind are dreadful, aren’t they? Everything seems so magnified at night, too. I hope that some clarity is forthcoming for you today ?.

Hope all goes well with your chat with the nurse today, Mick, and yours with the pharmacist, Ash. You are so right, some days, it’s all or nothing!

Take care everyone

Good morning from a dull damp Co Armagh , indoors day here

Grandmabatty Tue 21-Jun-22 08:16:52

Good morning all from an overcast Polmont where it's 13°. I think it may rain. Sar happy birthday to you. Kittylester all the best to your daughter.
Yesterday I pottered about in the garden. It was a beautiful day in central Scotland. Lots of sunshine and warm. I nipped to dd's with a card and wine for their anniversary and we spent some time in the garden there. She has bought a mini bouncy castle and dgs1 was bouncing happily. He wanted me to join him but my bouncing days are over.
Today dd is dropping dgs2 at my house as she's going to dgs1's nursery for a parents 'drop in and stay' session.
I am looking forward to having dgs2 on his own. Then it'll be cherry jam making. Chicken souvlaki for dinner. Have a good day all.

Greyduster Tue 21-Jun-22 08:16:44

And Happy Birthday, Sar! ??

Greyduster Tue 21-Jun-22 08:14:52

Every good wish for your daughter today, Kitty?.

brook2704 Tue 21-Jun-22 07:28:28

Good morning everyone from Inverness where we’ve grey cloud but the sun is trying to break through. Yesterday was an unexpected beautiful sunny day so I enjoyed my time in the garden
I love Llandudno pantglas but absolutely ages since I’ve been there, it was our annual holiday place when I was growing up as a child and lived in Manchester
Today I’ve got more of DD2s washing to do ? and I’ll be back out in the garden fighting the ongoing battle with the weeds
A very Happy Birthday Sar enjoy your special day! ???
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?

grandMattie Tue 21-Jun-22 07:28:21

Happy birthday Sar53. ???

dragonfly46 Tue 21-Jun-22 07:27:31

Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Cleaners here this morning, not much to do as we have been away.
Will take some stools I brought back from DD’s to be recovered then tea with a new friend this afternoon.

Hope it goes well for your DD kitty, the first one is a hurdle.

Happy Birthday Sar.
I hope everyone else has the best day possible.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 21-Jun-22 07:23:23

Morning all

Happy Birthday Sar53 ????

It feels warm outside, we have The Imp so the day depends on him (he is suffering with really bad hay fever, the medication makes him tired and grotty)

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Pittcity Tue 21-Jun-22 07:16:25

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A warm, dry midsummer day.
Lots of cars starting up early this morning, probably because of the rail strike.
I am in the charity shop today as usual.
Happy birthday Sar and love to all ? x

Ali23 Tue 21-Jun-22 07:15:20

Good morning from sunny Leicester .
Thanks for the recipe, Pantglas. I’ve made jam in the microwave, but never lemon curd. It made my mouth water just reading it!

Not sure what my plans are today, other than walking the dog and nipping to see if my BIL is ok as he was discharged from hospital yesterday after a bout of pneumonia.
Other than that, it might be a bit of a drifter.
Thinking of you both , Grandmattie and Kittylester.
Have the best day possible, everyone.

Jaxjacky Tue 21-Jun-22 07:15:05

Good morning, high cloud in S Hants.
Happy Birthday Sar53 ???
Every day a challenge gMattie or two, your stoicism is amazing.
Thoughts with you today kitty.
Farm shop for me early, then some bits from the village. I need to make a big lasagna for tomorrow, as today should be the cooler day, I’ll get on with it. Spare bed to remake and general tidying up.
Enjoy your day all ??

Grandmadinosaur Tue 21-Jun-22 07:11:18

Happy Birthday Sar ?? have a lovely day.

Thinking of you and your dear daughter today Kitty ?

dogsmother Tue 21-Jun-22 07:06:01

Good Morning everyone.
Many Happy Returns to you Sar, have a wonderful day ?
Anyone got a cure for acute back pain…. Probably some kind of musculoskeletal thing again ?

Ashcombe Tue 21-Jun-22 07:04:10

Happy birthday, Sar53!

A lovely day on which to have been born! ?????

Sar53 Tue 21-Jun-22 06:57:57

Good morning from a lovely sunny day in Essex by the sea.
It's my birthday today, the longest day.
We are going out to lunch to a local pub later.
DH has also booked afternoon tea for Friday before we go and see Lord of the Dance, can't wait.
Enjoy Tuesday everyone whatever you may be doing xx

Grandmadinosaur Tue 21-Jun-22 06:55:44

Good morning all from sunny East Yorkshire.

I had a similar recipe pantglas for making lemon curd in the microwave. It used to be delicious. Thanks for sharing.

Yesterday I did see GS and his classmates walking past en route to the railway station. I got waves from them! He said he’d had a great time.

Today is coffee morning and I’ll watch a bit of tennis this afternoon. GS here after school. DH is occupied all day with work so it will be just me to entertain him. I think we shall do some baking. It’s always popular!

Thinking of Grans with illness, worries etc.

Take care everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 21-Jun-22 06:54:46

Morning everyone from what looks like a bright West Oxfordshire. I’m hoping that OH will take the two remaining bags of books to a charity shop today. He needs a hair cut so would be popping into our nearby town. I intend having a bit of a baking day and then making salmon baked in honey and garlic for dinner. We still haven’t chosen the paint for the kitchen, lounge and hall and landing. I have so far bought around 20 paint sample pots. The walls are covered in little squares! The decorators are coming 1 August so we must get on. ???for lots of you.

Ashcombe Tue 21-Jun-22 06:53:04

Good morning all you early birds from an increasingly bright Torbay!

I’m in awe of Beechnut for your ability to clear out “stuff” and good luck with the decorators ,etc., BlueBalou!

Like Mick, I have a telephone appointment today from my surgery (pharmacist) about which I was only notified late yesterday so I’ve had to postpone my arrival at the theatre to do Props. I also have a dental hygienist appointment at 12.00 and a committee meeting this evening. One of those days within one of those weeks! Sigh!

Over in la Sarthe, DH has a check up with his rheumatologist today. He’s managing his osteoporosis quite well but the cold he caught on the cruise in late May is lingering. ☹️

I hope all with plans for the day can fulfil them. ?????

kittylester Tue 21-Jun-22 06:50:40

Good morning all from a bright and warm North Leicestershire.

I have a few bits and bobs to do in town - collecting the winter quilt from the laundrette, an order from M&S, some meals for the freezer from the Italian cafe, to keep my mind off DD1 who begins her chemo today.

Have the best day possible everyone

grandMattie Tue 21-Jun-22 06:25:48

Good morning from a bright E Kent. Just put the food bin out, it’s still nippy out.
Gosh, all those early birds and so much in their lives…
Pant, your lemon curd reminded me of a friend in Spanish classes who stole some, truly enormous lemons over a wall inValencia. I made her some “mermelade de limones robados” with only three fruit.
More mini dramas with the syringe driver, yesterday. It seems to malfunction.
It took me nearly an hour to persuade DH that it wasn’t 0430 the next morning, when I woke him up after a long nap. He had decided that I was lying to him.
Today, I’ve got my feet at 0800, but ?nothing else. Yet!
I must persuade DH to have a shower. He’ll enjoy it.
Hope today bring ☀️ Sunshine into your lives. Carpe diem. ????

Greyduster Tue 21-Jun-22 06:08:12

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining again in South Yorkshire. I woke up last night with a thousand and one things on my mind that I couldn’t get past, so no sleep for me. I shalln’t be going very far today, but I have a feeling I won’t get much done either, except try to catch up on my sleep. We’ll see.
Have the best day you can folks.
