Shazza I have been happiest since marrying MrS in 1988. We are both happiest living here in Kintyre. He was born in Cornwall. We met in Devon.
Andy Murray is due to come on court soonish. I cannot miss his game. He needs me to shout words of encouragement. 
The woodpecker's youngster (that we hoped to photograph as it was being fed peanuts by the parent bird), flew up high into the branches. Mr S managed to photograph it, but was sorry not to have captured a shot of the two together.

Thank you for the good wishes for the Spotty One. She seems to be not too bad in herself. My dd, her mum, had it when she was 15 and as you say, Shazza she was very poorly indeed and has quite bad facial scarring from it. Good to get it over with when young!
Speaking of dd, her morning got off to an unusual start. She’d left a pot soaking overnight and when she emptied it out she looked into the sink to see a little bat flapping around in the water! It must have been hanging onto the side. She scooped it out and her Dh dried it out with kitchen towel and then placed it on the windowsill outside, when it promptly tried to get back in again. The window was firmly closed this time! ?

My car has gone into the garage today as the computer thingy is playing up. They have a new check in system for when you take the car in. Lots of buttons to press on a screen and then options trying to sell you stuff. When that’s all done, a little door pops open and you put your keys in there and off you go, all done remotely. Only they had a chap there to guide me though as it’s their first day and I was only the fifth person to use it. I’ll let you know if it gives my keys back tonight!

Shazza I am almost 81 and I agree that Berratini is a delicious specimen. 
We were drinking early morning tea in bed and watching the birds having a wild old time on the peanuts. An entire family of blue tits, at least eight, that we could see, were having a banquet. Along came the Woodpecker. We were surprised when a second clung to the bark of the tree and was fed by what must have been the parent bird. They appeared to be the same size. Sat with camera and long lens poised for a photo. Sadly, the younger bird flew into the high branches and we couldn't capture the two together.

The shop that I managed sold quilts and beautiful bedding, clothing, some furniture (inc antique beds), bric-a brac and lavender by the scoop full. It was extremely busy in the summer months. On one day in the winter, I had sold "b all" and therefore bought several scoops of lavender in order to have cash in the till. There were four shops originally. The wee Fowey shop was very profitable. She says modestly. 
I hope your GS soon feels better, Grandmabatty. 
. My GD is in full chickenpox mode right now. Hopefully she’ll turn the corner by tomorrow. I think CP must be everywhere - a poor dad was begging on a local FB page today for calamine lotion or cream for his child and everywhere has sold right out of it!
Ive been quite productive today, making phone calls about things then going into town to get my car valeted (the men earned their money, I can tell you! 
), picking up food for the next few days and returning an item to a shop. Dh had to find a shirt for our friend’s funeral later this week. I chatted to a lady outside the fitting room, who was helping her dad get a shirt for her mum’s funeral - all rather sad. Dh forgot a tie so we ended up going to Next to find something on our way back to my (clean) car.
I was cheered by a bargain in the M&S cafe, though! The bill for a cake and coffee each came to £5. Apparently I had a free coffee on my Sparks card and Dh unwittingly chose a £3 coffee & cake deal so it was a good deal!
The weather is windy here and sunny on and off. We had a brief sprinkle of rain, that’s all.

Yikes it’s been a very blustery day for walking today! Did our walk and didn’t get too wet until reaching Fowey but then the rain came in. What a beautiful place to live though soop, I really liked Fowey despite the rain. Your shop sounds interesting, what did you sell? We got the most enormous Cornish pasty from a bakery and enjoyed it on the quayside. We’ve took the ferry and crossed over the river and tonight we’re staying in a little B&B in Polruan and walking to Polperro tomorrow.
Your description of the mammogram was so funny naughtyneine but spot on - awful the things we have to go through

Good evening lovely Kitcheners. I have been forced to tidy some of my art materials . I have put some things I know I won’t need for a little while in a wall cupboard, which I can only reach using my handy little folding steps. Mr. B was busy replacing a faulty light switch so he didn’t see me. I’m back on terra firma now and the new light switch is working perfectly. Hope you’re enjoying your walk Brook, I’m settled down with sketch book and a selection of pens and pencils.
