Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Busy start today , do a small shop , and then get a taxi booked to take to my surgery for my blood test this morning.
Otherwise a easy day before the weekend.
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning everyone, a fine bright day here this morning which makes a change from the last week or so when we’ve had several big grey clouds and short sharp showers.

Will go and catch up with you all but I hope everyone with health and other problems some respite today.

Oopsadaisy1 Fri 24-Jun-22 09:02:31

Good morning everyone, from a dull, breezy and chilly Oxfordshire, we had a few showers yesterday, but not enough to wet the pots, your pots look lovely GM and I hope you have a better day.
You seem to be receiving prompt attention Mick hope you get the results soon and can get some treatment to stop the fainting.
A day of paperwork today, tax man needs to be placated and then some gardening if it stays dry.
Hope everyone manages to find some sunshine.
Have a good day urms ? hope you are back soon.

EkwaNimitee Fri 24-Jun-22 08:56:39

Good Morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle where it looks like a day of sunshine and showers is in store. Yesterday turned out to be our hottest so far and too hot for me to work in the garden so I read and finished my book. No get up and go anyway as my body is getting over my venesection earlier in the week. Fortunately I'd decided to postpone getting the hose out on my new plantings until today, now it's not necessary as it rained heavily yesterday evening. Today I shall potter at small jobs of which there are many, I can't understand how I ever found time to go to work!

I hope it's a better day for all with difficulties of any kind, thinking of you.

A quick good morning from the Black country, running late today after another nuisance phone call in the early hours, still get them even after registering not to.
Meeting our friends in Redditch later.
Wishing everyone the best day possible, healing vibes and virtual hugs where needed.
Take care and may you all find some ?.

Morning all from a damp and grey looking West Oxfordshire. GM - those pots are magnificent! I will be spending the morning listening to two V&A lectures - Significant Edwardian women. After lunch, depending on the weather, we may pop over to a nearby National Trust property where the gardens are wonderful at the moment. OH would like me to make beef bourguignon tonight - isn’t it a bit warm?

GrannySomerset Fri 24-Jun-22 08:19:11

Sorry life continues to be so hard, gMattie. Do hope today is a bit easier.

Grey skies but still warm here though rain is promised this evening when I am out at a gathering in a garden. Typical! Otherwise a session this afternoon with a new financial adviser so that I can understand where the money is and why. There are several jobs which need doing in the house and were postponed while DH was so unwell, and I need to be sure about what I can and can’t afford.

BlueSapphire Fri 24-Jun-22 08:13:55

Good morning everyone from a very overcast and chilly Northampton; I know it's chilly because I have just been out to the bins in the process of clearing up after the cats - one of them had been sick on the back door mat, a nice present for me to come down to! I have rinsed the mat and put a good amount of carpet shampoo on it, and will give it another scrub shortly.

A visit to M&S Food and Sainsburys this morning. I need to pick up a replacement order, and return some trousers which were too small the wrong size. Shall have a coffee while I'm there.

Off out to a local amateur dramatics production tonight, so an early dinner. One of the actors (now in his 50s) is an ex-pupil of mine!

Hoping all enjoy a good day, especially grandMattie.

Enid101 Fri 24-Jun-22 08:10:06

What’s happened to Urms? I miss her Northern input.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 24-Jun-22 08:05:16

Morning all

Sar53 enjoy your afternoon tea at The Roslin, it’s a beautiful hotel with lovely food, especially Afternoon Tea (last time I went for tea was with DD, it was scrummy) do you know they have a small spa now? Love Lord of The Dance also.

We have The Imp today and school pick up for his brother, not sure what the plans are.

Keep safe and well folks ??‍♀️

Gingster Fri 24-Jun-22 07:55:22

Thankyou brook. ?.

You can’t beat The Roslin Sar. Such a beautiful hotel. I’ve probably told you before that we spent our wedding night there in 1971. It was old but rather quirky . It was being on the seafront that attracted us. Now it’s a very upmarket and a lovely place to spend time. Enjoy! ?

Ashcombe Fri 24-Jun-22 07:53:41

Good morning from an overcast Torbay.

I’m late on parade after needing unwind time following last night's 'Allo, ‘Allo rehearsal at which I enjoyed reading in for Mimi and Colonel Schmelling! Yes, ShazzaKanazza, in answer to your comment yesterday, it’s a great hobby and the camaraderie that develops with fellow cast and crew members is heartwarming.

A new neighbour has moved into the flat below mine, following the sad death of the previous lovely guy last month. A few changes here recently but such is life!

A beautiful garden, grandMattie, which must be therapeutic for you on difficult days. I hope today is a better one for you both.

I’m going to my holiday static near Dartmoor for a few days where there is little hope of reliable WiFi so I might miss posting.

Happy weekend, whatever it brings! ?????

Greyduster Fri 24-Jun-22 07:52:40

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Hope your visit to the GP goes well, Mick??. Light cloud in South Yorkshire this morning and I think we could get some rain. We had some yesterday evening. I spent last night at DDs and this morning I’m going into town to an art event at the central library. Should be interesting. Then I will go home and do some food shopping as DS is coming down to spend tomorrow with me. I hope the weather holds as he has offered to cut the big hedge.
GM I’m sorry to hear things didn’t go so well yesterday?. Hope today is better.
Have the best day you can folks.

dragonfly46 Fri 24-Jun-22 07:47:26

Good morning from misty Leicestershire.

Got lots of unusual plants at the plant swap yesterday so must put them in today.

I have my annual MOT at the GPs today. It doesn’t seem long since I had the last one. Then the rest of the day is mine!

Wishing every one a good day and flowers for Mattie you are very much in my thoughts.
? Urms about time they let you back!

kittylester Fri 24-Jun-22 07:41:16

Good morning all from a grey North Leicestershire.

Our cleaner is coming this morning and our bedroom chair is being returned after being recovered - hope we like it.

The promised redressing of our road didn't happen yesterday though the road did get swept.

Sending love and support to all.

brook2704 Fri 24-Jun-22 07:35:44

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s looking like another gorgeous day. Yesterday was warm and sunny all day but with a bit of a breeze
I do remember all the sheep ? pantglas used to love seeing them as a child. Also many happy memories of going up, down and around the Gt Orme, the pier and Happy Valley!
Today I’m shopping this morning and then a trip to the gym for a splash around in the pool.

Grandmabatty Fri 24-Jun-22 07:33:46

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 15°. Looks like it could be a nice day. Lovely garden grandmattie. Yesterday I achieved quite a lot by pottering.
Today will be more of the same then I'm going to see the Elvis film tonight. Have a good day all.

ginny Fri 24-Jun-22 07:33:15

Good morning from a dull N. Bucks.
DH is off to golf and I have smallest Grandson for an hour whilst Dd3 visits the hairdressers.
Then out to lunch with them and DD1 will join us. They will stay until school pick up time for Grandson2.

Hope today is a good one for all.

Gingster Fri 24-Jun-22 07:20:03

Good morning all and it’s overcast here in Essex.

Oh Sar are you going to The Roslin? Enjoy your afternoon tea, wherever it is! ??, and Lord of the Dance. It’s brill! You have a lovely day ahead!

My Dh is going for a neurology appointment this morning. Last night he said ‘I really don’t know why I’m going’ ! ?

Dog walking for me with my old neighbour and good friend.
Back here for a coffee and chat !

I hope you all have a good day and enjoy whatever is planned. ?

Grandmadinosaur Fri 24-Jun-22 07:19:54

Good morning all from an overcast East Yorkshire. Alexa says we will have thunderstorms later.

We had a nice lunch out yesterday at a place across the Humber bridge. Didn’t end up taking GS out after school as DH had work calls. He had a nice time here though playing etc. He amazed me with his spelling for a 5 year old. I was in the kitchen preparing his tea (wraps) and he came in to me and had written down the 3 ingredients Mummy puts in his wraps so no help at all from me. Good work!

A go with the flow day today.DH busy with work most of the day so just myself to please.

With talk of the goats at Llandudno it’s funny we we’re discussing about booking a few days away and where to go. That came up as an option.

Take care everyone.

Jaxjacky Fri 24-Jun-22 07:18:18

Good morning from an overcast S Hants. Sorry to hear your medical news Mick hopefully soon addressed.
What a pretty garden gMattie let’s hope today is a better one for you both.
We had friends for dinner last night, they’ve been in Australia for two months, so lots of tales, most enjoyable.
Today is rather weather dependent, gardening hopefully.
Thoughts with those of you unwell, or with family members poorly. May today bring some joy ??
Hi Urms ??

Beechnut Fri 24-Jun-22 07:11:23

Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s sunny but there is a lot of cloud.

I might clean the car today. I’m not looking forward to doing it. I’ve also some birthday cards to make as well and some hoovering.

I’ve been keeping up with Matt while you are away Urm.

Have a good day all ??

Pittcity Fri 24-Jun-22 07:07:14

Good morning from a hazy Colchester. Yesterday's forecast rain didn't materialise. More in today's forecast. I have washing to put out and will water the garden, if that doesn't start the rain nothing will.
The decorator did a good job yesterday, so today we will put the coat hooks, pictures etc back.
Love to all ? x

Sar53 Fri 24-Jun-22 07:02:12

Good morning everyone from a sunny and bright Essex by the sea.
Sorry to hear that yesterday was not a good one GM, hoping that today is better for you
This afternoon we are going for Afternoon Tea at a local hotel, my birthday present from DH, followed by a visit to the theatre to see Lord of the Dance. I'm very excited and very much looking forward to it.
I hope you can all find something to enjoy today, much love xxx

Ali23 Fri 24-Jun-22 06:43:47

Good morning Mick and everyone.
Grandmattie, the pots look lovely. I bet the plants appreciated their long drinks. I’m sorry to hear that yesterday brought more trials.
We did half of a big clean yesterday then left the rest for today as it was so hot.
Mick, I’m seriously impressed with how quickly your surgery seems to be able to organise things. ?all turns out well.

Hoping that your Friday brings you joy .
