Good morning, Mick and all. I hope you get your hospital appointment booked today Mick. It’s lovely that you keep your family graves tended with fresh flowers.

We are cat-sitting for our daughter. Yesterday morning there was a lot of banging and strange sounds - we were still in bed. DH insisted it was the cat flap. When we eventually got up to investigate it was a very young magpie, trying to find an escape route. I don’t know when or how it got in. I managed to catch it and release it in the garden. Many little splodges to clean up - it had obviously been eating someone’s blackcurrants ?
