Will we see a break in the weather with storms?
Today , Tour De France starts its a few days in the French Alps , will watch later .
I have managed to get my stomach endoscopy rescheduled as a referral to my doctor, as I will hopefully get it done in August after my break in Harrogate .
Take Care,

Thank you all for the flowers and your support. Thinking of those supporting family through Chemo.

Chrissielou Tue 12-Jul-22 11:23:09

A cloudy start in Oxfordshire but I'm not fooled, I'm sure it will be a scorcher again later, and for the foreseeable future if the forecast is correct.
Gymstagran a sad day for you, I'm thinking of you.
I will be picking more tomatoes later, just the Sungold variety ready at the moment, once the bigger ones are ready my kitchen turns into a full blown factory with daily cooking/freezing going on. You name it, I've done it with tomatoes!
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning,
It’s an overcast and muggy morning today, with a very light drizzle at the moment, but at least I can open the curtains for a while.
Popped out earlier to do a couple of chores before it gets too hot, Coffee time beckons now, then we’ll see what the rest of the day brings.
? for those of you faced with a difficult day today.

Good morning from a very warm, but overcast Durham. My cold is still going strong -week 2 now. I’m worn out from periods of coughing and sneezing and have fallen asleep on the sofa too often!
Have DD2’s older dog here so it’s nice to take him out just before sunset. I’m annoyed at piles of ? just left and bags of ? discarded around. It’s an area now used throughout the day by half a dozen professional dog walkers who come and go non-stop in adapted vehicles.
A difficult day for some GNs and their families - as someone once said - these things are sent to try us. ?

Great photo Holly, a nice one for you to paint.

Good morning Mick and all from a cloudy but close northwest coast.
Singing at sheltered accommodation today so will have a little warmup this morning and I like making an effort to dress up a bit. Will put a single sheet on the bed as too hot last night.
Gymstagran ? and thoughts to kittylester
Another try for pic of my regular walk in the dunes at the bottom of the road ?

LauraNorderr Tue 12-Jul-22 10:14:37

Good morning all from a cool damp Anglesey. It’s rained overnight and there’s a lovely breeze. I’ll shut those barn doors Pant, I know you like it hot.
Another difficult day for you Gymstagran, although your grandson’s sports day will be a nice distraction. Keep on keeping on.
Keep on keeping on to you too gMattie, there’s always one who makes it all about themselves, doesn’t matter, I know you’ll rise above it.
Hope your daughter’s chemo session goes well this time Kitty. Our daughter-in-law had her dose adjusted twice before it was just right for her. Her hair is growing back, slightly darker blonde and thicker so let your daughter know that the hair thing is not forever, although the grey bit comes to us all.
We’re off for a walk while the coolness remains.
Wishing you all a good day with a few ???.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is windy and coolish 19 degrees.
I had my oats and berries in the garden but have drifted back inside.
You are certainly having it hot in the south. It was cooler in Southern Italy yesterday than Nottingham well maybe the same.
Reminds me of 1976 when my pregnant sister came to Scotland to cool down.
I've a catching up day today as my cousin has gone to Glasgow for the day. I may catch up on sleep.
So sad a day for you gymstagran I will think of you
flowers
Matt is very apt today Urms
Keep cool all of you or else just do nothing and bask in the heat

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire and has rained overnight. Currently 21°C and feeling humid.

I slept well despite the heat, I was tired. I didn’t go for a walk yesterday, it was so hot. I have a new iPad so spent time sorting that out. We do so much online nowadays.

Good morning all from a sticky North Leicestershire.

Sorry I'm late and must dash as I having a singing lesson at 10.

DD1 has her second chemo today. The dose is being adjusted so, hopefully, she won't need 3 stays in hospital after this one. She is very cross as all her hair has gone apart from some tufts which are grey which , she says, is adding insult to injury!

Sending love to all who have sadness and worries at the moment!

brook2704 Tue 12-Jul-22 09:17:14

Thinking of you gymstagran a sad day, sending ❤️

Good morning from a sunny Northumberland where I slept well, the joy of staying in an old farmhouse with very thick stone walls.
Family had a day out without me yesterday and I spent 7.5 hours with my book and music, so peaceful.

Good morning from an overcast Oxfordshire, it’s 19 degrees and the sun is up there in its hazy glory.

Easy day today, cleaning the bedrooms that will be used from Thursday, some early prep for MzOops 50th on Saturday, paddling pool arriving today, we have children coming up to the party and rather than have the hose squirting everywhere decided to contain the children in one area, if it is as hot as yesterday all the adults feet will be in there as well!

Who said a swimming pool was a waste of money? Not me.

Gymstagran?

Have a good day everyone, keep cool….

Stilllearning Tue 12-Jul-22 08:58:39

??? Gymstagran, you’ll get through the day. Glad you have family with you.

Grandmabatty Tue 12-Jul-22 08:52:20

Gymstagran ?

EkwaNimitee Tue 12-Jul-22 08:49:18

Good morning Mick and everyone from a grey but sultry Carlisle. It's cooler so I think I will run the vacuum round shortly. It clouded over yesterday afternoon but pre-lunch the fierceness of the sun made it unwise to do anything physical in the garden. One thing I will have to do out there today is pick peas, suddenly I have a glut of them and will have to freeze some.

Welcome, Hymnbook, you live in an interesting part of Nottingham.
I hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Greyduster Tue 12-Jul-22 08:46:12

Gymstagran what a sad day for you. The ‘firsts’ are very hard.??

baubles Tue 12-Jul-22 08:45:21

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s pleasantly bright.

Welcome Hymnbook.

Gymstagran thanks a sad day for you.
