Shinamae have you tried Tesco own brand soup? It’s very tasty and only 55p. The cream of chicken and mushroom is delicious.

Yes I did actually buy their own brand and it wasn’t too bad at all….Thank you all for your suggestions

Is it Chewbacca? Will try it.

I’m in agreement with you maddyone. M & S baked beans for 35p have been a good find recently.

Aldi tomato soup is delicious

As is the Pea & Ham, especially when it's half the price of Heinz

I've always had Heinz soups usually buy 4 or 8 when on offer. No offers last on line order so bought Tesco own 55p not bad.

I don’t like Heinz soups so if I’m going to pay inflated prices I’ll pay them to Baxters. Soup prices have gone through the roof recently, but M+S soups are still £1 a can and they’re very nice, similar to Baxters.

Not Heinz related - Paterson’s shortbread fingers. I buy a box once a month or so, the box had a different design this week and seemed smaller than I remembered. The contents now weigh 300g, old box was 380g. Still the same price, but I have no doubt that will soon rise.

It’s no good saying prices are disgraceful! Fuel costs more, therefore everything is more expensive. We have had cheap food for a very long time and now we are going to have to a realistic price plus inflation so it’s a case of stand well back and get ready for really expensive food.

I think you’ll find I can say what I like!!

We had a Tesco delivery this morning. There were some things delivered that we hadn't ordered. I pointed this out to the driver who said 'Well someone has made a mistake. I can't take them back. Keep them free of charge.' So we did but I felt guilty.

I know Tesco and Heinz were in a bit of a situation but then I thought they had come to an agreement. Well the agreement seems to be that Heinz will charge what they want and Tesco will put up with it because I’ve just been down to Tesco, looked at the soup and where the Heinz soup was 95p three days ago it has now gone up to £1.40!!absolutely disgraceful but then I don’t have to and won’t buy it and hope other people won’t ?‍♀️
