Good morning all from a cloudy and damp Glasgow.
To those suffering from the heat, you are welcome to our rain, we have plenty!
GM, it sounds as if you have a very supportive group of friends.
Yesterday, I persuaded DH to take me to LIDL, I knew I couldn't manage on my own. Because I haven't ventured out much, my baking cupboard was bare. I have even used up the stash from the nuclear bunker, as the lodgers call it.
While we were there, my phone alerted me that someone was at our front door.
Being Amazon prime day, the lodgers had ordered lots of goods for their new home, but hadn't given a thought about who would take delivery. Well they had obviously bargained on me not going out.
.
I phoned my friend across the road, to ask her to check for parcels. However, there were none, so I started to worry about where the parcels had been put.
Once we arrived home, DH checked the video, only to find the mysterious stranger at the door was me.
I am in a sorry state, I do not recognise myself anymore! ?
DD has been messing about updating our Alexas and Sonos system, but everything has gone pear shaped! There has been a delay in the doorbell alerts as a result.
Each time I opened my phone, the conservatory Alexa started playing random songs from my Spotify list, but DD didn't know what she had done. It was driving SIL, who was working in the dining room, mad!
When Dollie (an Alex expert) asked her, to switch on the TV, DD and SIL, got a shock , when their bedroom TV came on unprompted, as they were lying in bed.
I am living in a mad house at the moment!?
Only two weeks until they get their keys! I can't wait, but SIL is reluctant to leave this 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ hotel!
I hope all the poorly people, especially the DDs are coping in the heat. They must be so uncomfortable.
Kitty and Chrissielou, so painful to watch your daughters struggling.
Kalu, I hope the appointments went well yesterday.
I had a phone appointment with a nurse yesterday, about my endoscopy, they were completely unaware of my complex medical history and it has left me quite unsettled.
Today, I will speak with the cardiologist about the new drug trial.
I was unsettled anyway, because my friend across the road, was told yesterday, the tumour he had removed from his bowel, was cancerous. He had absolutely no symptoms at all. A timely reminder for us all, to do that bowel screening test!
Wishing you all, the best day possible. I may make gooseberry jam in my jam maker, if the nausea subsides. As opposed to GM's Carpe diem, my mantra has become, Carpe horam,
