Good morning everyone. Another bright morning in Leicester. Yesterday we sat in the park watching a young gardener water the beautiful flower beds. The heat over the last few days has zapped our old dog , and she spent most of the ‘walk’ back to the car in her buggy.

I spent quite some time chopping back the raspberry canes yesterday, and them picked our first blackberries. Delicious!

Have a good Friday ?

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton, but feeling nice and cool at the moment.

My usual Friday outing to the shops this morning for a top-up shop, a mooch and coffee. Then will probably spend the afternoon reading in the garden, and watering in the early evening.

Had a lovely evening group walk yesterday, and there were four of us in the pub afterwards for dinner, so the good company and chat continued till quite late.

Hoping all have a pleasant and gentle Friday.

Good morning from a sunny Torbay. I’m rather bleary eyed as I stayed up to watch Question Time as it was from Torquay!

Yesterday was quite pleasant, thanks to the breeze. Today is rather still but forecast to be less hot than in other parts of the country.

Welcome back, GrannyGravy13! Perhaps, when you’ve had time to reflect, you’ll tell us more about your thoughts on your cruise. You certainly chose a lovely itinerary!

I’m glad you have friends for company, grandMattie, with plans for each day at the moment.. The low water levels are becoming a concern here but less of an issue than in other years.

A blood test regarding sodium levels for me this morning now I’m into my second month of taking Spironolactone. It is helping to ease the breathlessness. Following that, I might walk across the Down if it’s not too hot!

Happy weekend, everyone! ?????

Morning Mick, morning All. A fresh, blue sky start to our corner of Somerset

Loved our wander to Lyme Regis yesterday. The Cobb is one of my favourite places, it holds many happy memories. A sunny, breezy day, very comfortable. I’ll try to attach a photo.

General catching up today. Our goddaughter wants a chat, sounds very down, hope to speak to a couple of friends this afternoon. We could also do with some rain gm, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your friends company.

Look after yourselves everyone, thinking of those managing life’s challenges. Hope Friday is kind to us all.

Morning and thanks to Mick.Think you need a restful day after your busy but late day yesterday.
Do hope you enjoyed the day though and you rest catching up with Tour De France.
Although 10 days since covid and 5 since neg test, it certainly has washed me out.Yesterday woke at 6a.m had a cuppa only to fall asleep
in the lounge til 11a.m (never heard of before) DH must have tip toed about and taken himself into garden.
I haven't even caught up on GN news so today I will try and make the effort.
Also need to go shopping and restock a rather sad looking fridge.
Do hope for a cooler day the lawns are parched and pots looking withered as am I?
To all with worries and illness ??

Good morning Mick and all from a dry and brightening north Wales where I’m enjoying my chamberpot of cheer and watching a hedgehog trotting from one neighbour’s garden to another ? - too cute and first I’ve seen in years ?

I know we’re enjoying lovely weather ?but I sympathise with those unwell or undergoing treatment like Chrissielou DD - it must dreadfully uncomfortable ?

So many outings planned here on GN and it’s lovely to read about interesting places I’ve not visited - yet…?. You know me, I do like a gallivant!

Hope Urms ? is fixable, I know I wouldn’t be without mine although I do use my bus pass ?most weeks, the best of all worlds!

Titivating for me this morning as I’ve a glamorous friend coming for a curry ??this evening and I do try to raise my game a little ? ?

A good weekend for all x

Good morning from a surprisingly cool E Kent. No rain. Water is getting very short. Poor old Sheppey is completely without water, unless they have managed to mend the broken pipes.
We didn’t go to Deal yesterday. Instead we walked to St. George’s golf club. There are lots of native orchids on the rough. It wasn’t too hot and my friend walks at the same speed as me. She talks non stop so was easy to entertain. We then had a coffee at a local hotel in the comfy lounge.
Today, I am going to Deal, lunch is booked by another lovely friend. Her husband is coming to put up the key safe ordered by DD, as I’m becoming rather forgetful. Also now I’m alone…
Pleas look after yourselves and your families. Hope today isn’t too hot for you.
Love much and love well. Carpe diem. ?????

Good Morning Michael , bright but no blue sky here in NI,,
No plans , just keep watering the plants , we have a tank of rainwater stored , a bit of rain would top it up

Morning all

Back in Blighty we survived our first ever cruise, (Norway and fjords) lovely time with dear friends.

Not sure if cruising is for us, but never say never.

Off on the drive home from Port now and ready for two weeks of birthdays (including mine)

Wishing you all well, catch up in a couple of weeks. ?‍♀️?
