Yes raining in Northumberland and was 12degrees earlier. Currently lots of rain clouds just waiting to start again. Pity as the commonwealth games baton is in Northumberland today.

No sign here - Oxford, where I’m helping with Gdcs until dd returns late tonight.
None at home in SW London, either.
I’d love a really good thunderstorm, with lashing rain - but only once I’m lying in bed to enjoy it.

Casdon, I'm in rural Northumberland. Currently it's 13° with light but steady rain. D H was going to water the garden this morning, but there is no need now.

We brought in 250+ bales of freshly made hay off our field yesterday evening. I had been thinking about leaving it out until today...

Woke up to rain here in the NE, so glad we got on and did it grin

Mind you, it's not particularly heavy or penetrating rain. We need a full 8 hour torrent to do any good...

Its Glasgow Fair Friday ,anyone who lives here or knows the area expects rain during the Fair fortnight .
We got married on Fair Monday because there weren't many weddings on that day so we didn't have to work ...and yes it rained .

It's been raining in this NE as well (think you're in NE England, aren't you, ayse?) and I can't decide whether to wash the towels and hang them out or not, as the sun has now come out. The forecast is for showers, I think. confused

Still, I'd rather have this than the heat that some of you are having. Thinking about you all ? ?and hope you can find ways to be comfortable.

I never thought I would say this, but I wish it would rain here.
Just overnight twice a week would be nice. And help me stop lugging watering cans around.

Where are you MiniMoon?

MiniMoon Fri 15-Jul-22 10:13:44

Well, that's it then.

St. Swithin's day, if thou dost rain,
For forty days it will remain;
St. Swithin's day, if thou be fair,
For forty days 'twill rain na mair'.
