Grrrr, useless M&S!

I agree, it's very annoying. I don't want to buy Summer dresses in March, Christmas cards in September, or Easter eggs in January. But the shops seem determined to push us to live a season ahead.

I remember being in despair when my son was a newborn. I couldn't find winter baby clothes anywhere. In that January in 1984 the shops were full of summer stuff.

But its always beeen like that, it has nothing to do with whether we shop onine or not.

You are lucky to have a M &S to go to; ours have closed. It is my firm belief the remaining high street stores are intending to close their branches and make everything online; not so many staff, business rates or maintenance to pay; sod the customer and the overpaid executives, (£800,000 the latest figure) can work all the time from home.
This outdated concept that people buy months in advance for the season; fashion changes far more quickly now, but the Autumn stock is prepared and on its way.

I walked through our M&S this morning and not only were there empty racks and shelves, but there were barely any customers either. It was like walking through the Marie Celeste.

Not hats but I went to M&S this week and bought a bikini top to go with my shorts for on holiday in August ( would never wear full bikini!) There was virtually nothing left , why can’t we buy plentiful summer stuff in the summer? This is when we want it, drives me mad!
