Nice not to be the only one.

Hope you all sleep reasonably well.

Every window open, a multitude of fans operating, I'm in the thinnest pure cotton nightie imaginable (think almost see-through, from age and washing) and really hoping for an hour or two of sleep.

All my neighbours have their windows wide open. I always feel cold so husband is next door in the spare room with windows wide open and fan on. I have just taken off my vest. Hope you all sleep well.

Bedroom window open here , although don't expect to sleep well ! I will close it when the sun rises and close curtains too.

There was a man on Any Answers yesterday talking about putting tinfoil and cardboard on his windows to insulate the house. He was cut off for promoting some business or other, but the gist seemed to be that you put tinfoil on to reflect the heat and cardboard behind it to block the light.

I can't say I've tried that myself - I've got the windows open though grin

It’s possibly the hottest night of the year so far. I’ve just been up to pull the bedroom curtains, and noticed that not one of the ten or so houses I can see has their windows open, not even the small ones. I can’t imagine how hot it must be in their bedrooms.

I have at least one bedroom window open all year, and tonight all the upstairs windows are all flung wide, and will stay that way. Please tell me I’m not the only one?
