Something (to eat) that you hardly ever buy, because you know you’ll only make a pig of yourself?

Thought inspired by the fact that I just bought a packet of Garibaldi biscuits - I buy them maybe twice a year.

Another is blackcurrant jelly cubes, which I just eat. Twice a year if that.

(People with iron self control who have no idea what I’m talking about, need not reply, thank you!)

Coffee and walnut cake from M and S. Actually any sponge cake with icing will do!

Ice cream, any flavour, make or type.

Bizarrely sardine and tomato paste sandwiches.

My boys used to live on those when they were little. They called them 'smelly sandwiches' and couldn't get enough of them!

Chocolate Hobnobs. I am incapable of eating just one.

This thread has reminded me that I got a bar of Dairy Milk with my Sainsbury's order, and it is in my bag. I'm off to make a pig of myself grin

I rarely eat chocolate, but give me a bar of Fry's Chocolate Cream, and it's devoured very quickly!

Wensleydale with cranberries or apricots in it. I can eat it like a slice of cake, if I'm not careful.

Jelly babies. Can’t leave them alone once bought, the only way is to not buy them. But I do, sometimes.

Popcorn and Jelly Babies

If I buy them I have to have a small bag.

Even those Multi Packs are dangerous, I have to accept that in the shop I can tell myself I'll only have one bag but I've learned I can't stop at one.

M&S cheese straws. Can’t leave them alone once opened. There are two boxes out of my sight waiting for friends to stay later in the month. They are calling to me, so far I’ve resisted grin.

Bread! Especially crusty bread and butter.... seldom buy bread now.

biscuits of any sort, I love crunchy carb things also ice cream especially magnums

GagaJo Mon 18-Jul-22 10:48:59

So many things.

Crisps
Frozen meals (chicken tikka masala)
Sweets (not hard boiled though. No desire to eat them)
Crackers
Any cheese other than boring cheddar
Cakes
Biscuits
Pies
Fizzy drink (yes, diet Coke, I mean you. So disgusting. So tasty)

When I lived alone, I didn't buy bread either. Can't be trusted with it.

Chocolate peanuts!! Years ago when I gave up smoking, I developed an addiction to chocolate peanuts instead. I gained 2 stone in weight. I dare not buy them any more.

Ahhh the evil spoon! ?

Nutella

I always used to buy that when Gdcs were visiting - Nutella pancakes for breakfast - and then eat the rest with a spoon. ?

But Dd is very anti Nutella now, because of the palm oil, so it’s sliced banana with lemon juice instead.
Just as well really.

Biscuits - any kind, even the dry crackers.
Butter

One day there'll be an 'iron self control' shop and I'll be first in the queue!
