Can you move it to a day later because of the high temperature expected tomorrow?

Is there a slot available if you choose to do that?

That's a sensible suggestion, if another slot is available, I think that's what I would be trying to do if I had a delivery due tomorrow.

I agree TillyTrotter The heat has frazzled what little brain I have left.

I deliberately bought more soft drinks today so I will not run out in a hurry.

That is a brilliant ending and not what I was expecting Charley. ?
Please stay home tomorrow. Any frozen items in your order will need to be rushed to the freezer as it may be hotter even than today ! ?‍? ?

It's sorted, SD ?

Glad you've got it sorted Charleygirlsmile.

Charleygirl ???

All's well that ends well!!

Must remember my Tesco delivery on Wednesday as it's not a usual delivery day for us.

Charleygirl5 Mon 18-Jul-22 16:47:03

Birdbrain was in a long queue so I decided to see if this was mentioned in the list of questions and it was!

Apparently, the driver leaves a card with a number for the person to get in touch and another date is sorted. No card so I checked the day and the delivery is tomorrow!

Thank you everybody for helping this befuddled old bat- I am blaming the heat- only 37C in London.

In these heat all our minds are frazzling Charleygirl . ?
I can’t think you will be charged for food you haven’t had or they would lose customers at a vast rate.

Good Luck, and please let us know what the response from the shop is. Hopefully you will be offered a re-delivery tomorrow.

StarDreamer Mon 18-Jul-22 16:44:29

As you assume does that mean no card?

Because on

www.iceland.co.uk/customer-support/contact-us

there is the following

quote

What happens if I'm not at home when you deliver to me?

Our delivery driver will leave a card with the store's telephone number. Your shopping will be taken back to the store. We will do our best to try to arrange another delivery time for you once you have contacted us.

end quote

Have you checked your landline if you have one with 1471 in case they tried to phone you to say they had to cancel because of the heat?

Maybe they will turn up later.

Good luck Charleygirl, easily done. Let us know what Icelands policy is.

Smileless2012 Mon 18-Jul-22 16:25:23

How annoying. I never get supermarket deliveries so have no idea what they'll do but agree with Callistemon. Hope you get something sorted.

Callistemon21 Mon 18-Jul-22 16:21:05

Contact them asap and grovel!
They may send it to you again asap, especially if the driver is still in the vicinity.

Otherwise I think they send it back to store and do not charge you.

Good luck ?

I stupidly did not check my diary today and was elsewhere when I assume Iceland attempted to deliver.

Does anybody know what happens, do I end up paying for the amount or am I banned?

I cannot be the first and I will not be the last. I blame the heat for making an already befuddled brain more so.
