Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking cooler with a bit of a breeze here in brackley .
A day of tasks after a small shop , I will do some housework .
I usually take a reading of my electric meter on a Sunday to workout the weekly use , and then go online to website and give a reading as its more or less 3 months up .
I went online only see the supplier had already taken a reading , and the bill was already to read .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, just, Mick, Annie and all.
I didn't sleep too well last night due to DH snoring and strange breathing. I have done my chores for today, ironed a dress and a shirt. That's plenty.
GrandMattie sorry that you are having a sad time today. Look forward to moving nearer to your DD next year. Have you thought about having a Robot cleaner? Mine did a sterling job of routing out the dust bunnies under the bed, so there are no more now.
?. for Maw.
We will probably have to go shopping sometime today as we have run out of bread. I am trying to run the freezers down, so mustn't go mad and buy too much.
Marydoll, what a beautiful necklace, you are clever.
Have a good day one and all and thoughts to all who are struggling.

Good morning all from cloudy Harrogate
Your necklace one to be cherished Marydoll
Good planning GrandMattie taking your time to sell your house. Give you chance to sort out what you really want. Sorry about your neighbour, though.
Went to church yesterday, was surprised to see how small the church was inside. I always thought it was the main one for the area!!
Had a lousy night last night am just about fit to talk on the telephone to my school friend, then both sisters
Have the best day possible folks

Morning all from a damp and wet West Oxfordshire. Son and granddaughter are here which is lovely. They will probably drive back to London after lunch. I have a slightly sore and sticky right eye. I think something blew in it when I was volunteering on Saturday. Walking back to my car it was very windy and there bits of dry grass everywhere. Bangers and mash for lunch with homemade lemon ice cream and chocolate cake for pudding.

Late to the party after a disturbed night and then oversleeping. It was good to have DS and family overnight on Saturday, an unexpected pleasure after their weekend plans fell through.

Am struck by Maw’s post and her comment that she continues to love her late DH because I feel exactly the same - he may no longer be with me but his love is still part of me. Didn’t expect this at all and am constantly surprised by how strongly I feel it.

Serious reading today for book group on Thursday since I have been putting off starting the book. As it was my suggestion I need to have something to say!

Good morning Mick and all. It’s cloudy in my corner of Lancashire, currently 16°C and it has been raining.

No real plans for today, other than housework and exercises. I haven’t read the thread yet so will catch up later.

Hope today brings some comfort and cheer to all flowers

Good Morning from a sunny, breezy W Kent. So many plans and memories today, gM I am sure you will eventually find you have done the right thing being near one of the children, we enjoy two of ours nearby, sorry to hear about your neighbour. Marydoll just the necklace I am looking for!
A couple of weeks ago I used the local library for the first time in over two years, so now of course I have to go and return the borrowings. I have enjoyed two books I probably wouldn't have found and put on my kindle. Other light shopping needed.
Hope the day goes smoothly.

Morning from S Lanarkshire, cool and grey.

Back from a really good weekend in Dunoon, fortunately DSiL was delighted to see us and DD cooked us all a lovely meal. She had brought all the ‘stuff’ to decorate the table beautifully and her aunt was very touched. We were also able to catch up with my nephew and great nephews who were returning to their home in Finland on Saturday evening so that was really good. They have a great life out there, I am envious of the education system the children are benefiting from.

A lovely post Maw?

Big decisions grandMattie, you are wise to take your time. Nice to be near grandchildren though.

Childminding duties later and mass now since I didn’t make it yesterday. Wishing everyone a pleasant day???

EkwaNimitee Mon 25-Jul-22 08:57:24

Good morning Mick and everyone from Carlisle where it looks like being a day of sun and showers.
My usual Monday of laundry and housework beckons, it certainly didn't last Monday when it was too hot to do anything much.
I hauled out all my better clothes and holiday outfits yesterday and tried a few on which put me in a bit of a gloom! Much of my weight loss has returned but instead of going back where it went from, it seems to have landed on my tum. I think the closer-fitting things will have to go to the charity shop, I don't feel like flaunting my belly in public.
Time to activate myself....have the best possible day everyone.

Morning all from a cloudy S Hants, it was sunny an hour ago, still no rain forecast. MrJ returned from Belfast last night, later than expected after another delayed flight, good to have him back.
Library later, more watering and I might have to flick a duster about.
Have a good day ??

Good morning from a very dry Leicestershire.

Sorry to hear about your neighbour Mattie and a move nearer your DD sounds good but hard for your DS who probably won’t come back to this house.

Sending you flowers Maw on this bitter sweet day.

Good morning Mick, morning all from damp South Lanarkshire.

What a shame about the covid struck cast Ashcombe.

Mattie how sad, your neighbour is so young.

Lovely necklace Marydoll.

Beautiful photo Maw.

I had a zoom call with a cousin in Canada yesterday, he was visiting his mother at the time so I had a lovely chat with her. Ninety years old and still volunteering in her local church hall making sleeping mats for distribution in third world countries.

No plans today, I must have jinxed the weather the other day by buying garden furniture, I haven’t yet removed the plastic covers from the cushions.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Mon 25-Jul-22 08:35:29

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 15° and very grey. Showers are forecast. Grandmattie a house move next year will give you time to get your head round it. Maw that's a lovely photo. Ashcombe how annoying for everyone.
Yesterday I pottered about and got tidied up. Does anyone use the phrase 'gussied up'? I thought of that earlier. I made bread but it was more brick like in shape and didn't rise much. Under proved, I fear.
Today I'm meeting a teacher friend for coffee at a new venue so I'm looking forward to seeing her. Nothing else is planned. Have a good day all.

Ali23 Mon 25-Jul-22 08:32:37

Good morning Mick and all.

? for Maw. A special day to treasure in your heart.

GM, ?, I’m sorry to hear about your neighbour. Is it me , or do we all know more and more people who are seriously ill?

I spent some time out in the garden yesterday and found myself cutting back flowering plants as though it was autumn. If we get rain, some might offer a second flush, but if the drought continues I fear they have gone underground till next year. I’ve decided to take the opportunity to mulch with soil improver, to help the clay soil in future years.

Have the best Monday that you can, everyone.

Nannagarra Mon 25-Jul-22 08:22:19

Good morning from a cool and very wet Sefton coast. What a difference a week makes.
The weather today is perfect for clearing out yet another room. Gosh, I can’t half cram stuff in cupboards. Renting someone else’s property was just the boost I needed. DH, observing me, has vowed to tidy ‘his’ garage this week. Win win!
Have the best day you can everyone.

ShazzaKanazza Mon 25-Jul-22 08:21:31

That’s such a gorgeous photo MawtheMerrier. I hadn’t realised you’d lost your beloved husband. Lots of memories today. ?

ginny Mon 25-Jul-22 08:19:05

Good morning from a still breezy N.Bucks.
The dog ( DDs)has gone out taken for a walk with their dog walker friend.
We have a man coming to service the caravan later and DH will have to go to his Mums as she says her fridge isn’t working properly. I suspect she has accidentally touched the dial.
Some housework for me and then I’m hoping to do an on line art class.

? and healing thoughts for all who need them. Hope you all have as good a day as possible.

aggie Mon 25-Jul-22 08:17:59

Good morning from cloudy Colchester. The clouds are grey and blowing quickly across a blue sky with the sun peeping out now and then. Yesterday was very hot and humid with evening rain. We are promised more rain today.
DH is off fishing later for a couple of days giving me time to get the house shipshape after being full all weekend. DS's bedding is already on the line. I may pop to the sales later if the weather is not too bad.
Big hugs for Maw and Mattie and all who need them. Love to all ?x

Gingster Mon 25-Jul-22 07:56:21
