Finding things no one claims

My exh found a beautiful ring lying in the gutter when he was a university student. It was inscribed and was diamonds and rubies. We thought it might have fallen off an old lady's finger. He handed it in to the local police station and no-one claimed it so he got it back. I always felt sorry for the lady who lost it.

Following on from looking for lost things thread. Have you ever found things in the house, or at work that no one claims?
I found some VW car keys on my desk, in my office that no one ever claimed. We also found a brand new Le Crueset grill onan, labels still attached in our garage. Neither DSs or DH knew where it had come from.
