Just watching the commonwealth games and the crowd are screaming, shouting and applauding everyone no matter what colour or country they are from. It’s been labelled the friendly games and it certainly is living up to its billing.

I wish all those people who criticise the monarchy led commonwealth could acknowledge that it is like a big family. I don’t know the ratio of the different skin colours that are participating but it is certainly not a white dominated games. It’s so lovely to see athletes from small countries and poorer countries have the same chances to compete as the larger wealthier nations.

Well done the brummies.

Well said ?

I’m a Brummie, they are a friendly lot, as are many other groups from areas around the U.K.

I agree. Thank you. Praise for Brum at last! I am a Brummie born and bred and still here. I love my city. The Games have been great for the city. Excitement all around.

Yes, I have been so impressed by the spirit of both contestants and supporters - truly a sporting occasion and a triumph. I believe the bull is to be found a permanent home and I think that would be a wonderful legacy of a great occasion.

It has been a lovely Games and I have enjoyed the bits of it I have caught. Seems very well organised and the crowds have always been enthusiastic.
Well done indeed!

I'm a Brummie too and I've just been into the crowded city centre to see the Bull. A wonderfully happy carnival atmosphere all around the town and the weather has been perfect.
