I used to be crazy about him but it may have been more form his choice of songs. I'm glad to hear that he's a nice bloke; I always had a suspicion that he was rather full of himself (goes with the job I suppose).
Maggie Mae, Waltzing Matilda, and so many more lovely songs. I think "Every beat of my heart" should be the national anthem. It makes me well up every time I hear it. In fact, I'm getting a bit emotional even thinking about it. Probably expat blues.
Seagull carry me, over land and sea
To my own folk, that's where I want to be
Every beat of my heart
Tears me further apart
I'm lost and alone in the dark
I'm going home
And we'll drink a toast
To the blood red rose
Cheer a while the Emerald Isle
And to the northern lights
And the swirling pipes
How they make a grown man cry
