It’s wonderful to have doors and windows open and to both hear and smell this lovely, much longed-for bit of nature. I hope it stays for a while.

Anyone in Portsmouth? We are headed there today and think that thunderstorms are forecast.

North of Portsmouth (over the Hill) , drizzle.. and Dark atm

No rain here in my part of South Yorkshire yet, though the sky is clouding up. We’re supposed to have some from about 4 pm, but we’ll see. We were forecast some for yesterday, but no rain came. No thunder, either.

We are still waiting in Suffolk parched here too

We had a rainy day here in France on Sunday, it was wonderful and the temperatures dropped. However it's creeping back up today into the hot zone

In Durham - I was surprised that Harrigran reported thunder storms a couple of nights ago. I’m only a few miles away and had nothing - but there’s steady rain here now, but nothing spectacular.

My head felt as if we were going to have a thunderstorm but nothing materialised.

Oxfordshir, about 20 minutes of light rain, plants still dropping.

MissOops lives 15 minutes away and the rain has half filled her water butt!

Dd and family are going camping in a couple of weeks, so Sod’s Law says it’s bound to rain then! Can’t remember where though, but I don’t think it’s in the SE, sorry!

NW Surrey about ten minutes ago. A few gentle plops on the patio. Not enough to join up. Shrieked upstairs to DH in excitement but it came to nothing. Scanning the sky for promising clouds but it's just a uniform grey. Back to the watering cans. Sigh.

We haven’t had any for so long in E Kent, I would barely recognise it. The most forecast is 32% chance for us - little if any! And that is for tomorrow…

S Hampshire, not quite SE, we’ve just had 30 minutes of light rain, that’s it, after about 6 weeks of none.

Nothing here yet in Bedfordshire, but it is much cooler and rain predicted for this afternoon, so all the buckets are out ready to catch it!

Still waiting for a single drop in SE London/Kent border. Not a rain cloud in the sky to be seen.
