Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dry cool start here in brackley this morning ,and plan an easy day in.
Last week I had a letter ,as regards to seeing a specialist , appointment yet to made , hoping I can the Hospital which is easier for me to get to .
Its seems she/he will advise on my medication ,and make changes if need be .
It seems having the look into my stomach has been scrapped if new medication or routine can work better.
Mind you , since I changed my own routine of when I take what I have , I have not collapsed or blacked out for over 12 weeks .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone from an overcast and drizzly south Hants.
I’ve not posted on here for a little while so apologies. Life has been a little fraught of late so fingers am keeping fingers crossed that life will settle down ?

I’ve not read any posts yet but am just about to take DDog for his eagerly awaited walk so hope to come back later on.
Have the best day you can.
Hugs to all ??

Good morning all from an overcast East Midlands, it is dry at the moment but that could change.
I hope Mick is able to get his hospital appointment organised. Not sure what I will be doing today, being temporarily disabled has its challenges but there's nothing wrong with my hands and brain, as I always say.
Our French beans are all finished, onions are lifted as are the potatoes. We have a few later runner beans so still picking those, blackberries are done and a second crop of beetroot are doing nicely. Picking tomatoes and cucumbers daily. and sharing with the neighbours.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The weather varies this morning depending on which window you look out of but we have had some rain overnight. Oven cleaning today after yesterday’s roast pork made a horrible mess of it - a small price to pay! The crackling was superb (don’t tell my dentist!). DD and her menfolk are off to the coast today for a few days to finish off the summer holidays. I have been left in charge of the Guinea pigs!! Apparently they like to be read to - SiL has recommended a suitable book (I absolutely know he is winding me up!).
Have the best day you can folks!

aggie Mon 22-Aug-22 08:15:40

I hope it stays dry for a while , we are hoping that a neighbour can drop in for coffee later , but first a dash to Lidl
My heart did a jump as I was reading about your near miss Marydoll , take it easy today woman !!!

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s cool and cloudy with yet more rain forecast.

Good to hear that your new medication routine has been successful for you Mick.

We may take a jaunt down the coast today, perhaps a visit to Culzean Castle, daft dug loves a run around the beach there.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a cool, grey Durham. I am waiting till 9am to ring about my central heating timer which has packed in. I’m going away today and because of the BH weekend, the first date I can have it looked at is 31/8, so no heating or hot water ‘til then.
My friend is back in hospital this morning, hopefully to have her brain operation that was cancelled last week.
Wishing everyone a good week.

Good morning all from the Black country, washing on need to get it out before my new neighbour lights another fire. Our recycling is really good here but he insists on keep having fires, we have spoke to him but he doesn't listen.
Trip to local shops to do a top up and see what Aldi have in the middle aisle.
Must go there's a spider in bathroom needs attending to before I get a shout from DH.
Enjoy your Monday and may you all find some ?.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and wet. I'm happier in cooler temperatures. Susan have a lovely time. I don't know what possessed you! I've never been a fan of camping since my time in the guides. Grandmattie I'm another who will swap you rain for jam. I do make my own but I've never made damson jam.
Yesterday was a restful day. Food shopping then pottering. I didn't do any painting so I will have to do some today. Have a good day all.

Good morning Mick and all from the Scottish Borders.
I hope the doctor's plans for you keep you out of hospital. Sounds like you are already doing the right things
The family party yesterday was perfect apart from one DS and family on holiday but they appeared on video! The rain kept off so there was even a BBQ. I set the DGC to picking my plums and the cousins played happily.

It's fun watching your progress BlueSapphire ..
That was a nasty fright Marydoll
Have a good day everyone and rain if required!

Good morning from a sunny Isi Leicestershire.

Had a lovely meeting with the ladies from the breast cancer FB group on Saturday. It is such a pleasure to talk to people who understand.

Today we are going to the funeral of a golfing friend and neighbour.

Wishing everyone a good day!

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. Usual Monday. Waitrose, laundry, ironing, more things to take to Charity shop. OH is playing croquet golf this afternoon.

Pittcity Mon 22-Aug-22 07:26:44

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another nice morning although there may be rain later.
Visiting DD2 as she has all 3 of my DGS today. DD1 relies on family for childcare over the 6 weeks holiday and we all pitch in.
I'll hang the laundry to dry indoors as that'll keep the rain away wink
Love to all ? x

Marydoll Mon 22-Aug-22 07:23:24

Good morning all from a rainy Glasgow, DH, the golfer is not happy. I too am not happy either, I can't put the washing out.

My only plan today is a trip to Sainsbury's, to buy peppermint essence to make mint chocolate chip ice cream for Dollie. (Her request). My lack of RA medication is causing troublesome joint paint, along with all the other things, so no gadding about, I'm afraid.
My Ninja ice cream maker has arrived and I'm itching to use it.
The prep work has alread been done for a tub of raspberry and a tub of strawberry, now for the chocolate. I do love a kitchen gadget. ?

Yesterday's journey to church was a nightmare. Someone, in their wisdom, decided to start roadworks on the alternative route, to avoid the closed roundabout. The whole town was gridlocked. I'm glad I'm not working anymore, getting to school, would be so stressful, now that the school's are back.
I had parked in the church hall car park, which is next to the closed roundabout.
I was bold enough to park near the presbytery, ( the PP frowns on that). He laughed and said, as a parish worthie, he was going to get my initials painted into a parking bay!

Just as I was waiting to come out, a van doing a u turn, along with many others, he hadn't realised the road was closed,) reversed at speed into the opening where I was stationary, whilst checking the road was clear. He obviously hadn't seen my BRIGHT YELLOW car and kept reversing. I had my hand on the horn, and my parking sensors were going crazy! He stopped centimetres from my car and roared off!
My heart was beating like a drum. It's a dangerous place, my church! ?

I wish you all a pleasant day and thinking of all with a heavy burden to carry.

The view of Bordeaux from my balcony.

grandMattie Mon 22-Aug-22 07:16:45

Ashcombe

Good morning, all, from a cloudy Torbay.

Thank you for your kind comments about my costume photos yesterday. After the tidying up indoors and out yesterday, we joined in the read through for the panto although I can no longer participate in the Chorus as my heart surgery may well be in October.

I’ll keep my fingers firmly crossed ? for your surgery not to be postponed. It’ll no doubt be a great relief for you, Ash. ❤️

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny ? Bordeaux. We are moored on the Garonne river right in the centre of the city, and it is busy with traffic and people already. It was an interesting sail up river yesterday to get here. We had a brief city bus tour yesterday late afternoon.

Up and dressed early this morning and already had breakfast, as I am off early on a tour of the Margaux wine region, with a stop at a vineyard for cheese and wine tasting - looking forward to that!

This afternoon we sail for Bilbao and the delights of Spain.

Have a happy Monday everyone.

ginny Mon 22-Aug-22 07:12:31

Good morning. It is looking very pleasant outside so hope to get out in the garden for a tidy up later.
I have a blood test later and some admin jobs to catch up on.
On line drawing class this evening.

Hope you all have a good day with a smile along the way.

Urmstongran Mon 22-Aug-22 07:06:55

No Matt = Monday.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where day I say it, there’s an autumnal nip in the air. I’m sat on the balcony in my summer pj’s and can definitely feel it. Forecast is for 31°C later though. Again, that’s less scorchio than this time last week.

We will stroll up to the Carrefour later as we need a couple of household items and will have café con leche in La Canasta there before coming back to set up in the gardens for the afternoon.

Ooh good, Himself is up - kettle’s just being filled. ?

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

I am volunteering on a new AgeUk Dementia course today. The course is usually held at a very nice care home where the supply to most delicious buffet lunch. Unfortunately, the home has an ongoing covid outbreak and we are being moved to a nearby community centre with who knows what for lunch. I think the participants are loving the course so will cope with the food situation.

Ashcombe Mon 22-Aug-22 07:03:43

Sorry, pressed wrong button!

Good news about your health, Mick and to all on holiday or family days out: stay safe, stay well and I wish you fine weather with some rain for grandMattie in East Kent!

Good morning all from East Yorkshire. It is cloudy and cool. I think rain is forecast.

Yesterday we caught up with jobs after being away. Did a food shop and we bought ping meals for a lazy lunch. DH had curry I had a roast pork dinner that was tasteless. Not just any pork dinner but an M&S one.

Today I have a hair appointment. Not sure of plans after that. I might take myself out somewhere. After our days away and DH working mostly at home I feel like I need some of my own space. Not that we argue etc I just like my own space at times!

Enjoy your camping Susan

Good news for you Mick

Oo damson jam GM yes please ?

Take care everyone.
