chicken and mushroom pie, mashed potatoes, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, at a very nice local pub

A boiled egg (done in a pan of water on the hob) and one slice of toast. My Sunday treat.

A Krispy Kreme doughnut!!
In bed watching tv.
My GD brought it in for me.
Now I will have to go and clean my teeth again.

Lamb chops, mushrooms, sweet corn broccoli and mashed potato with gravy and mint sauce.

Pork meatballs in spicy sauce with mashed potatoes. Chopped apple, strawberries and grapes with natural yogurt.

Melt in the Middle Salmon Fishcakes with mixed salad.

We don't like Warburtons thick bread, cotton woolly and no taste. Bought it to toast and prefer ALDI's soft white Farmhouse.

Shawlands2000 Thank you for that. I've got a Ninja Foodie too. Do you do anything in particular to the bread, like fry it with the butter on the outside? I've read and tried all sorts of things so far without any success. Think I might have had the temp too low so will try 200.

An un-dyed kipper, 2 slices of brown (Warburtons, naturally) bread a couple of very sweet tomatoes and some Tesco spicy beetroot. Too many plums and greengages to mention. Followed by indigestion.

Homemade spinach soup and a piece of cooked salmon. With a few salad leaves.

We've shared a handy money saving tip just by talking about sourdough and deciding not to buy it.

It was probably the only bread product I had trouble eating, because I generally love bread stuff.

OK then, let's stick to Warburtons. I like their muffins and bagels too. But crumpets are my favourite.
Mouldy, or moldy? There was a thread about that on here a while back. I think the consensus was that in UK it's mouldy.

Same here. I shan't bother with the bread if it tastes as miserable as the crumpets. All Warburtons stuff is nice and worth the few pence extra. But I suppose if times get tougher
then it's back to the supermarket's own!

Warburtons are the best, much as like a bargain.

I havent tried sourdough bread; the crumpets put me off.

Seriously nutty muesli, Greek yoghurt & sliced of banana, washed down with a cup of English Breakfast tea.

Me too, MissAdventure. I shall stick to ordinary ones, probably Warburtons, from now on.

Another sourdough crumpet. Only one more left in the pack now. I don't really like them, so smother them in marmalade.

Poached egg on half a slice of buttered toast, marmalade on the other half, plus a plum and a nectarine.

Eton mess = fresh Autumn raspberries from garden with sprinkle of crushed meringue topped with some icecream and greek yogurt.... yum
