When we are on holiday people often ask of my husband is related to Jack Nicholson. I can’t see it but it’s happened many times!

My husband looks like Larry Lamb.

When I was younger, my pupils called me Anne Robinson, for obvious reasons. I did look very much like her.

As Prince Charles gets older he looks more and more like my Dad.

When I was younger people used to say I looked like Patsy Kensit. I'd forgotten all about it until earlier this year when someone said it. I must see what she looks like now, doubt she's white haired like me!

My db is the spit of Nigel Havers, speaks like him too. A proper gent.
My friends husband is the double of Michael Middleton (Kates father).

My youngest daughter has been mistaken for someone in Loose Women (much to her disgust as the actress is much older than her)!
My eldest daughter was in Brentwood to meet me for lunch and a shopkeeper mistook her for someone from TOWIE and tried to serve her before other waiting customers (very embarrassing).
And my ex husband was mistaken for Tony Blair (when he was PM).
... and me? ... when I was 18, a man on the seafront in Limassol, Cyprus told me I looked like the "Mona Lisa" and sketched me! I still have the sketch .... and it looks nothing I did .... or anything like the Mona Lisa! ...... and it certainly didn't work as a chat up line! Who wants to look like Mona Lisa?

Everyone said my dad looked like John Thaw

Anniel Fri 26-Aug-22 19:48:57

My dear late husband was always being told he looked like the late Michael Williams, Judi Dench’s husband so we went to a play they were both in and indeed they were alike. I have followed the career of Dame Judi ever since

My MiL said I looked like the actress Frances de la Tour (gulp); and that her son, my OH, looked like Noel Edmonds. He doesn't.
My younger son when aged 2, once kissed the tv & said 'Aaw Ganma' (my MiL) when it showed a head & shoulders photo of Geoffrey Howe. grin

My son is a George Clooney doppelgänger. And my DiL (his wife) looks like Sarah Jessica Parker. Going out and about with them is hilarious as people do double takes and start walking backwards to keep them in sight.

In the 1980s I used to wear those big specs that were all the fashion and some kids sitting on a wall asked me if I was in Coronation Street. They thought I was Deirdre Barlow! Wrong accent, this was Hammersmith.

Camelotclub Fri 26-Aug-22 17:46:15

My cousin looks quite like Hugh Grant.

Since childhood at all stages of my life I've looked like the queen, and queen Mary depending on my age. It's my actual features and expression my hair was also exactly same as queen's when she was a child! Me- royal? Nope!

TanaMa Fri 26-Aug-22 16:48:40

My dear Mum looked like the Queen in her younger days. A blind friend, who liked to 'feel faces' to 'see' what people looked like, always said she was like the Queen. He hadn't always been blind but lost his sight to an acid thrown in his face by a jealous girlfriend!
My late husband looked like Tony Curtis.

Bennydian Fri 26-Aug-22 16:18:04

My father was often taken for Sean Connery. He has been asked many times for photos with people and his autograph. Which on one occasion had the requestee state that he even signed with "an accent". He had signed his own name.

Hellogirl1

Does anyone remember Mandy Miller, a little girl who made a few films in the 50s? When I was 9 my auntie took me to see the film Mandy, she was 8 at the time, and on the way out people were pointing at me and saying "It`s Mandy Miller!"

I too apparently looked like MM as a little girl. More recently I’ve had Rosamund Pike and Diane Keaton (I wish on both counts)
What about you now Hellogirl1?
It would be funny it you’ve had the same

Lulu16 Fri 26-Aug-22 15:50:19

Nobody famous, but I appear to have the face that people recognise. In the past people have asked, 'did you ever teach in Leicestershire?' ' are you so-and-so's sister?' ' haven't I seen you before on this train?'.
The answers are no, no and no!!

TwiceAsNice Fri 26-Aug-22 15:32:46

Unfortunately my brother has always looked like Prince Andrew

libra10 Fri 26-Aug-22 15:02:53

SparklyGrandma Fri 26-Aug-22 14:16:15

When my father grew a beard in the 1970’s he looked like Rolf Harris.

We then all of us got called ‘Rolf’ at school for about six months. Even the girls.

Sawsage2 Fri 26-Aug-22 14:10:57

GrauntyHelen Fri 26-Aug-22 13:47:33

Foxyferret Fri 26-Aug-22 13:40:31

When I was younger, I was told I looked like the late Judith Durham from The Seekers. If only I had been able to have her wonderful voice also.
