Good morning Mick and all from Autumnal Angus by the sea. The first of the autumn crocuses are blooming in the garden. I usually love early autumn, but just wonder what changes climate will make to it this year!
Nothing planned this weekend but have spent some lovely ones in recent weeks, so I can't complain.
My plan is to be down in Lincoln to see DS2 over my birthday at the end of September, but sod's law has intervened in the form of a letter from NHS Scotland giving me a date for my winter Covid booster and flu jab - the day before my birthday. I went on line as instructed to change the date but could only get Highland Perthshire!! A very minimum two hours' drive from here, on winding country roads. I think I'll take myself down to my local venue and make out I'm a dittery old lady who doesn't understand (no acting experience required
) and see what they suggest. I wonder how long it will be before someone realises that this reliance on phones and internet is not good! Lovely time at tai chi yesterday, but for some reason I had only managed two hours' sleep the previous night and my brain was conspicuously absent. I was doing all the right moves but not necessarily in the right order!
The day before I took my older friend out for our weekly drive and cuppa. She's slowing down in every way quite rapidly, but has an indomitable spirit. She's only seven years older than me, and I find it quite scary to see.
Sorry about your puss Ash and I hope you find that your worst fears are wrong.
Glad to hear of all the good exam results. My very clever DGD's were not as good as she expected at the end of her first year at Sixth Form College, meaning a bit of re-evaluation is called for. She'll be fine though.
So happy for you about your DD Chrissielou. What a very sad and difficult few years she (and therefore you too) has been through. Sunshine only from now on!
GrandMattie.
Loving all the stories and photos from the cruise ships too. Wonderful memories being made.
Well, the reason I stopped posting on here a while ago is that doing so was eating away at my mornings. I've just glanced at the clock ........ Oh dear!!
Enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend. Lots of love.
