Peter Gallagher, Mark Wirtz and Keith West collaborated to produce A Teenage Opera in 2017!!
It was performed on stage in Bracknell that year.

Oh wow! Thanks. I don’t know why that song meant so much to me back then. I can listen to many songs from my youth quite happily but some tug at my heart strings in a big way and that is one of them. Even now, if I’m feeling a bit emotional about anything I stop listening to music because I know that listening to a particular song will take me back to that period of my life.

That’s a lovely story, Yammy.
My song is an odd one. It was one of my mother’s favourites and often pops into my head and is a lovely reminder of her.
Sucu Sucu.

."Bridge over troubled water." I had just split with my first proper boyfriend and was enjoying my student days, when he turned up with that record two terms later. We've been together ever since.

Harry and Meghan are 'unlikely' to visit Queen at Balmoral during their whistle-stop tour of the UK and Europe next week - amid ongoing row with Home Office over Duke's security

Whiter Shade of Pale it seemed to be number 1 forever in 1967 when I was 13.

“Annie’s Song” by John Denver.

Another mum on the maternity ward when I had DD, back in 1974, played it on a guitar in the evening, and we all sat round and listened. (This was when you were in hospital for a week after childbirth). Always brings that time to mind.

At her wedding, DD chose it for their first dance.

Hadn’t cried up to then, but as the music started, the tears fell.

Bright Eyes, from Watership Down. It was playing on the radio whilst we were taking our dead cat to the vet , and that`s the memory that it always brings to mind, way back in 1981.

Where Do You Go To My Lovely. I only have to hear the opening accordion music to be transported back to when I was 13. It was the first record I bought and I played it endlessly, fascinated by the mysterious Marie-Claire.

‘The first time ever I saw your face’. Enough said ?

Diana. Despite much money being spent on piano lessons for me, by parents who regretted that they had given them up, it was the only thing I could play properly without music.

There’s a racehorse running these days called Grocer Jack and I keep thinking of Exert from a Teenage Opera by ( I think) Keith West. I loved that song. Don’t think they ever produced the teenage opera though.

The Three Galleons reminds me of my first home as wife and expectant mother. It's a beautiful old Spanish tune.
