Hello everyone.. come in and take a lovely, comfy seat which I hasten to add - you wont be sat in for long because Im starting belly dancing classes with a free glass of?? ?? ?? or mint tea complete with free supper of goat stew .....

Nothing but smiles, laughter and plenty of ridiculously hilarious shenanigans....

Yeahhhhhh ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ...

Aldom, I just took a cutting from a friends rose, new growth, think it was May time, stuck it in a pot of compost and transplanted to the ground in autumn. It grew well in year one but really blossomed this year and still going strong.

Aldom Tue 30-Aug-22 21:05:58

Urms ooops! Thank you smile

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 30-Aug-22 21:03:21

My belly was born for dancing, drinking wine and eating Turkish delight, so I will need the password to enter the inner sanctum, please.
PS love the rose.

Urmstongran Tue 30-Aug-22 20:57:31

It was Millie’s rose.

Aldom Tue 30-Aug-22 20:54:31

Love your rose Millie, guess we’ll have to use the one with the least thorns if we’re dancing with it between our teeth.

Ohhhhh stupid me .... never thought of the thorns hahahahaha.

Blame it on the exhausting of swishing and swaying my way round the gazibo alllll say and a tad tooooo many ? ? ? ..hiccup

LauraNorderr Tue 30-Aug-22 20:23:19

I could just dive in to that mouth watering fondue, hold the Turkish delight for later

Lovely rose LauraNorder. We have this lovely dog rose style one in our garden which has been flowering since Spring.

What a great thread Serendipity and a wonderful title. I’m sure it’ll run and run with lots of us popping in and out to share our happy moments. I’m just enjoying a coffee in the garden and appreciating a lovely pink rose grown from a cutting two years ago. Have a lovely evening all.
A toast to Serendipity for a lovely idea ?

Ohhhhhhh I have an idea.... we can use a rose ? ? ? between our teeth as we stamp about flamenco dancing ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?..

We have belly dancing and line dancing so why not Flamenco dancing too

Ohhhhhh we're having a right shindig here under the Arabian Gazibo in my back garden, ive notified the press of the shannanigans and thought it best to warn the Boys in Blue that there is a rather raucous time tonight.....

I’m glad you liked my idea for your thread title Serendipity!

Lawrence of Arabia has asked to see the belly dancing. I think it's Fred from the chip shop so said no.

I have nice crusty loaf muse, will that do.

muse Tue 30-Aug-22 19:39:47

If you fancy some more cheese, I'll bring some Cornish Yarg Cheese Serendipity. Ignore green outer covering. Apparently they wrap it in nettles. It melts superbly though so how about a fondue. Now we just need something to dip into it.

LauraNorderr Tue 30-Aug-22 19:34:21

OMG nearly missed out on the Turkish Delight, pass a piece over please, yum.

Turkish delight anyone? ?

I do thank you for your kind offer of a Turkish Delight but can I be cheeky and ask "are they smothered in chocolate and covered in a shinny pink wrapper?"

MiniMoon Tue 30-Aug-22 19:27:18

I'll give the belly dancing a miss if you don't mind. Now, if you'd made goat curry instead of stew I'd be there in a flash.
A good goat curry followed by Turkish delight is a perfect meal. We'd need a nice long walk after that, how about a walk round Buttermere?

Doodle Tue 30-Aug-22 19:25:27

Ooh I absolutely love Turkish delight. Specially the ones in those little wooden boxes with all the powder in them. Yummy ?

Milly47 Tue 30-Aug-22 19:10:43
