Moving house!

Ouch! Moving is full of unexpected surprises. Sounds like a good evening for a fish and chip supper.

We're in the same boat jenpax. We spent all morning filling boxes and all afternoon contacting pension firms, vets, DVLC dentist etc with our change of address. So time consuming.

It'll all be worth it in the end.

I moved March 2021, still got boxes to unpack. Can't be essentials so may just go straight to charity.

I last moved in 2020. Still have some boxes from when my parents died (before that)!

Can I say my late husband & myself moved here well over 30 years ago ... still have 2/3 tea chests still not unpacked in the garage ... wonder if I will find a treasure trove ? No doubt no !

Ha ha glad its not just me! They say moving house ranks as one of the most stressful things in life and I think thats right ?

Sympathy! We sold our house in May but couldn’t move into our new one until two weeks ago. I thought we’d done a splendid job on decluttering but oh my goodness, So. Many. Boxes. ?‍♀️

I’ve opened all the ones in the house (and been v thankful when there’s been a lot of packing paper around a few items) although haven’t yet found homes for everything. The garage is another story. ?

This year we threw out the box of items we’d packed for a house move in 1983 and never opened again. ??
