Bath tub only the shower part

BigBertha1 Mon 05-Sept-22 11:24:51

pollydolly I'm the same the Magimix and liquidiser never come out of the cupboard I use the stick blender for soup and we like lumps in it anyway. I had forgotten about them.

Underfloor heating in the conservatory. We put it on the first Winter we had it and the electric bill was sky high. That was years ago. Heaven knows what it would be come October...

The exercise bike in the dining room ☹️

Germanshepherdsmum Mon 05-Sept-22 11:37:29

The two baths, one of them a jacuzzi. Never used. We prefer showers and it seems guests do too.

MayBee70 Mon 05-Sept-22 11:39:02

Spiraliza. Saw it in a cupboard the other day and just thought ‘why’?

The bath with over shower in the family bathroom now the grandchildren or older. Everyone uses the shower in the ensuite.
Luckily I saw what would happen to the dining room when we moved in so it is a very handy second sitting room and we all dine in the kitchen/dinner where the AGA is.

Summerhouse, it is just a pretty shed.

The attic. Stored stuff in there many years ago but cleared it all out to declutter and in anticipation of moving house. It's been empty for about 7 years now - I wish I had opened up the hatch and put a proper ladder in and good storage units up there so we could have used it for storage space still. It's too difficult to get things up and down at the moment.

We’ve just moved so got rid of most unused items during a massive declutter prior to that. We’ve downsized so we’ll be using all the rooms here.

Our big en suite in our last house had a bath with over shower in it and when people came to view, it was remarked upon very favourably, people really seemed to like it. We have just a shower in the new en suite but I have a bath in the main bathroom a couple, of times a week. I do not enjoy the faff of having to wipe down the entire shower every time it’s used, it’s a pain.

I had an empty attic once when we had extra insulation put up there.
I wish it was still empty.

We should never have put anything back again; out of sight, out of mind but it's a constant niggle that it needs clearing.

Callistemon That's why we didn't put everything back - it was hard work clearing it in the first place. Plus we're 7 years older so it would be even harder now grin

Callistemon21 Mon 05-Sept-22 12:36:02

It was going to be a project during lockdown but we didn't get around to it.

dragonfly46 Mon 05-Sept-22 12:40:21

My Ninja - just can't get the hang of it. I like to cook multiple things at the same time.

Prentice Mon 05-Sept-22 15:27:27

I have enjoyed reading the comments but nothing to add, as we use all rooms and all things too.Having said that, it is only a small house anyway.

merlotgran Mon 05-Sept-22 16:00:18

The loft. I’ve never been up there so there’s nothing in it.

LOUISA1523 Mon 05-Sept-22 16:02:33

We never use our front lounge although its a lovely room....prefer the smaller back room with log burner especially on winter .... GC use it to play...and my youngest DS uses it to watch Netflix when he stays .

SusieB50 Mon 05-Sept-22 16:33:28

All the rooms are used as downstairs is almost open plan , but my late DH used the small bedroom as a study . Since his death 2 years ago I haven’t really been in there . So last week my son- in law and I cleared it , he’s stripped the walls and we will decorate it back as a bedroom for GD when they stay, instead of her arguing with her younger brother about who is going to sleep on the foldout bed in the other room . I’m pleased I have at last sorted it .
I’ve got rid of lots of kitchen gadgets I never use nowadays a bread-maker, magimix ,electric frying pan (?? No idea what that was for !) ice cream maker, all taking up so much space. Just kept the slow cooker, hand held mixer, blender stick thing and yogurt maker .I never use the bath now but I have a walk in shower so too much bother to change it .

The stairwell which is seldom used but costs a fortune to heat, decorate and carpet.

Dining room. Mine is used as an office of sorts.

The main draw back to having a proper ladder to the loft is that even more “stuff” gets stored there and then takes forever to de clutter. I’ve still got boxes to go through after our move last September.

My halogen oven. Since we parted with the caravan 8 years ago, it hasn`t been used, but as it was a present from my youngest daughter and her hubby, I won`t get rid of it.

Dottydots Mon 05-Sept-22 18:54:01

My coal effect gas fire. I haven't used it for so long that I've forgotten how to switch it on.

Nannagarra Mon 05-Sept-22 22:01:45

The Dining Room. (Capital letters are intentional.) Our refectory days are long gone!

Oh yes, ours too. It went on once or twice last winter to test it out after servicing and I doubt we'll use it much at all this year.
It looks good though. smile

Grantanow Tue 06-Sept-22 12:33:09

Oh yes, and the electric underfloor heating in the bathroom, kitchen and ensuite installed by previous owner. Never used by us and unlikely now given the energy cost.
