Bells Toll

They have been ringing here for ages. I didn't know it was a nationwide organised thing.

I'm going outside to see if I can hear any. I hope I can

I like hearing the church bells but have not heard any locally.

None here.

For me it’s the thought of this happening all over the country, from little village churches like ours to the cathedrals in our cities.

My emotions are so close to the surface

They are ringing in our village. I feel like Maw.

They are ringing here in West London very sombre sound.

We went and rang our church bell. It's not easy to get it to toll, but we did our best. We rang it for an hour, taking it in turns.

We are supposed to ring it again (in celebration) when Charles is officially proclaimed King and to toll it for an hour immediately before the funeral.

The bells in our tiny church have been ringing today, very comforting and respectful.

The local Parish church is very near to me and I also was pleased to hear the bells being rung.
It seemed very respectful.

Can't hear ours, unfortunately, but our vicar is most definitely republican.

Our village church bells were rung this morning. They were rather muted - they are usually very loud.
