I have been given two Nicotiana babies and the roots did n ot retain any soil and they are drooping. May I have ideas , please, on how to give them the best chance of survival?

I thought they were annuals. Plant them up in good quality compost. Water with fertiliser such as Miracle Gro ensuring the leaves are wet. Cover pot/s with a clear plastic bag and keep in the shade until they perk up.

Immediately put them into water to stop them drooping.

When they look stronger put into pots to plant up, water well.

We have them everywhere, in the driveway, in the hedge, some are actually in the flower bed.
