Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s cloudy here.
I had a lovely weekend. I got a lot of work I wanted to do in the garden done and then finished off my book yesterday afternoon. Today I might go to B&M as there is a few things I want and it’ll be nice to browse. My brother will be by later. He did some head shaking last week with my tales ?
Lovely photos BlueSapphire. It reminded me of our Broads boat ride.
Have the best day you can all ??

Good Morning Monday 12th September 2022
(47 Posts)Good morning from a cloudy Black Country, where the sun is trying very hard to peep through.
Apart from Zumba in the morning (phew!) I had a fairly relaxed day yesterday reading and pottering. MrJ and his DD arrived back from Bristol around 7pm.
Monday walk this morning. We usually cover around 5 to 6 miles occasionally 7!
Not sure how long his DD is staying, may make a Chilli this afternoon in case she is here for dinner.
Wishing you all a pleasant day.
Good morning from Colchester where it's slightly overcast. We are forecast 25° today, so I should get the rest of the laundry dry.
DH's plans for the next fortnight have been scuppered in one way or another, so we need to make some plans.
Love to all ? x
I’ve been on that little train Blue. It’s great fun but I came off covered in smuts! ? ?

Good morning, all, from La Sarthe where it’s bright and sunny with a high of 30 deg forecast! A few days ago, I had dug out a winter outfit!
I’m glad you were well enough to enjoy your break, Mick. Just the other day, I was telling DH about my grandmother who knitted socks, grandMattie. I might have guessed it was one of your skills, too!
Good luck with your return to work, Chrissielou and I hope you gradually feel better, cornergran and Marydoll.
We have to take DH's car for new tyres this morning then a quiet day, trying to keep cool!
Have a good week, whatever betide. ??✝️??
I haven’t knitted socks since I made a pair aged about 19! Always willing to try something new…
Good morning everyone from a corner of Wiltshire, it’s a quiet day for me today.
I too watched the Queen’s cortège, the scenery was beautiful. I’d love to go back to Scotland for a holiday but I can’t face all that driving, maybe I should look at coach holidays?
I’m going to make apple cake this morning and go blackberrying this afternoon.
I have everything goes well for you all this week x
Good morning all and it’s bright skyed and very still here in Essex.
DS2 and family had a great weekend in our cottage by the sea. The weather forecast wasn’t good but they had sunshine all the way. They walked, swam, barbecued , breakfast and lunched out, (a whole holiday in two days) . The only hiccup was when they had breakfast in a lovely cafe in Thorpeness. Three of their dishes had mouldy bread! ?. The owner was distraught, cooked another batch and didn’t charge them. It’s quite a chic cafe, quite pricey and always busy, so this was very unexpected.
Today I’ll take little gd to school as mum is feeling quite unwell.
She now has painful muscles and joints . She’ll phone the consultant today.
I hope you all have a pleasant day. ?
Good morning everyone from a bright Northampton. Up early so I can be ready for yoga in an hour or so.
Had a lovely trip out yesterday to Norfolk, a steam train ride in the morning - lots of us thought it was going to be a normal size train, but in fact it was much smaller. Still nice to smell the steam though!.
Then an hour or so in Wroxham for lunch followed by a boat trip, hour and a half up and down one of the broads, which was lovely. The weather was perfect, and the commentary was excellent, explaining some of the history and wildlife of the area.
Home about 8pm, and then ordered a Chinese take-away, which I hadn't done since DH died - it was very welcome after a long day out.
Hope all have a pleasant Monday.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I am expecting a call from my GP today to discuss my latest blood tests. If she’s not too late I will pop over to my neighbour for a craft afternoon. I will either take some knitting with me or patchwork which I’ve been working on since 2020. OH will be out for most of the day at a shooting range. I am driving him to Bristol tomorrow to see a neurologist about the various ailments he is suffering from. I haven’t been to Bristol since our daughter was at university there 20 years ago. I hope we all have a good day in these strange times.
Grammaretto, sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon. My friend across the road and her husband, who is on chemo, also have it. They are feeling pretty awful.
It seems to be on the rise again here.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Cloudy but dry
I still have covid and didn't sleep well.
I shall have to cancel the usual activities this week. Luckily my NZ family, who have now left, don't have the virus.
I watched the departed Queen's journey to Edinburgh on TV yesterday . It brought back happy memories.
Your harvest Chrissielou sounds wonderful.
I shall offer my apples to neighbours this year. There are too many of them.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Morning all
Pleased your trip went well Mick
Off to the gym this morning, I really must get back in shape ?
My tumble dryer packed up yesterday, so phone call to the engineer first thing.
Wishing you all well ??♀️
Good morning all from a pale blue shied East Yorkshire. The ground is wet after rain overnight.
Matydoll I think Blossoming is away on holiday she posted yesterday on another thread.
Today I have a long list to work through packing, housework, hair appt, dressmakers and gs after school. I am all behind with everything with watching events on TV over the weekend and not really being motivated to do them. Watching the journey from Balmoral yesterday I was taken aback at the stunning scenery en route. Just breathtaking.
Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks cloudy.
Quiet day yesterday doing little as I felt decidedly under the weather. Suspect a fibro flare up so will go with it for now. Long call from our goddaughter and an hour of admin and that was my day.
Pleased you enjoyed Cromer mick. I could very happy doing nothing mary
, must iron this morning though and try to source a new fridge freezer, or at least agree which one we will order when ours is a little less full. At the moment there is shall we say a difference of opinion. Will drive Mr C for his covid top up after lunch then hope to head for a garden centre to buy some plants for autumn/winter containers.
Have the best day you can everyone, hope Monday is kind to us all.
Back to work today so I'm up early, I return to the office 2 days a week this week now that DD1 has completed chemo, it will be very strange.
A lovely day yesterday, picking apples, blackberries and pears, a very plentiful harvest this year, trees laden with fruit.
I hope you all have a good day and find some sunshine.
Good morning from a cloudy Leicestershire.
Up early for Pilates, then DH has a doctor’s appointment, then dog walking.
Tonight we are going to a local WI for a talk.
Wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning from a cloudy Glasgow.
Glad to see you back safe and sound Mick
GM, enjoy your busy day and I hope you get your tickets sorted.
DH is golfing and I have a bucket load of apples to deal with. I'm unsure, what I will bake.
My lack of RA meds is beginning to affect me, everything seems to have seized up, I'm like a rusty and creaking, old machine, so a day at home I think!
Someones it's pleasant to just have a gentle day, doing little. Unfortunately, I find that very difficult!?
I haven't noticed Blossoming posting, I hope she is ok.
Have a pleasant day, everyone.
Good morning from a dawning E Kent. As yesterday, sun rising in the east, moon setting in the west; as the moon wanes Venus become her brighter companion…
I’m glad your trip went well, Mick, and that your stomach seems to have settled.
I was all prepared to have contact with no one yesterday, when I received a surprise call from my dog walking friend. She invited me join her for a coffee at a local café. Bless her, we had a good chinwag.
I spent the afternoon knitting a sock (the first of a pair) for my friend, the local haberdasher, who wants them for her winter window! I ran out of stuff for the patchwork hence the knitting…
With the changes due to HM’s death, I need to change my train tickets this morning I also need to click and collect at M&S a bit later. I’m hoping to see my friend, the retired bishop, for a cuppa this afternoon. Busy, busy!
Carpe horam/diem. ??????
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry and still dark here in Brackley.
My weekend coach trip was ok , one the way up there to Cromer , apart from services near Peterborough , we had a couple of hours in Sheringham.
Yesterday we did not leave Cromer until mid afternoon, coming back slightly different, skirting Norwich and down A11 , then A14 with a service stop near Cambridge .
Health wise had a few beers , medication working ,and stomach seems to have settled .
Take Cae,
Mick
