Good morning from sunny Leicestershire.

Had a good evening at a local WI. We had a talk from Leslie Smith who dressed up and gave us a talk on Elizabeth 1. Has anybody seen her perform? She is wonderful - very funny.

Spending 45 minutes in the dentist chair today!

Wishing everybody the best day possible.

Good morning all.

Yesterday was quite hot and reached 27c early afternoon. We went for quite a long walk not realising how humid it was.

DH’s sister who at 84 is 12 years older then he is rang on Thursday morning to say she was going into hospital the following day to have surgery for bowel cancer which is the first we knew about it. She is recovering well but we are concerned about what help she will get when she is discharged as she lives alone in East London and has no other relatives other than another sister in Italy. We live 3-4 hours away.

The novelty of school seems to have worn off abit for our youngest GD. She was very upset to leave her nursery which she loved. We have her brother as usual today ? and will pick up GD from school tomorrow.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick and all

Grey skies, but still warm here in S E Essex. Today is our wedding anniversary (31 years, we done things topsy turvy, children first, wedding after, been together 39) Off for a manicure later, and see how the day pans out.

Have a good one ??‍♀️

Good early evening from me. Had a quietish day today, went shopping locally and took some library books back. One of our naughty cats found a bird’s nest and tipped out the contents, unhatched eggs. Poor mother bird . Too high up for me to rescue the nest.

Good morning everyone from Wiltshire, it’s a grey start here.
Off to meet some friends this morning then WI this afternoon.
DDog has dog walker so she will be pooped (hopefully!)
Goodness knows what DH will be up to, he’s been fiddling with door catches on cupboards all week ?
I hope you all have a good day x

DH is going to his usual early morning gym shortly. Then on his return we are setting off to the airport for our flight to Menorca this afternoon. Looking forward to going somewhere new to us.

Good news for you harrigran

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. No idea what the weather is like as I’m still in bed! I am driving OH to Bristol this morning. He is seeing a specialist privately. OH is concerned about his health and didn’t want to wait months for an appointment. I haven’t been to Bristol since our daughter was a student there 20 odd years ago.

Isn’t the new Bake Off starting tonight - or am I wrong. I would have to record it so I can fast forward the adverts!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a brightening South Yorkshire. A quiet day yesterday, ironing and sorting, but cooked myself a nice meal in the evening and ate every scrap. Today I have to pick up my new specs and while I’m at the mall I will get a photo so that I can renew my driving licence which runs out in November. I can’t do it on line because I don’t have a valid passport, apparently. Later this afternoon I have a GP appointment.
Pant I have started watching The Crown for the first time. I’m only on episode four though!
Have a good day, everyone.

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. It was very hot and humid yesterday. Today is forecast cooler but still 20° and damp.
Volunteering at the charity shop as it's Tuesday. I will walk home via the surgery to make a blood test appointment as it's easier than phoning and they don't do online booking.
Love to all ? x

Keep smiling Mick, you will get through

Boiler man is coming this morning, the annual service and then I will be all done for winter

Then a walk to the local shops in my small market town. I need to relax today, too much heavy work at home in last three days

Good morning all from Cumbria. Cool this morning but supposed to be a nice day. Will largely be at home today except for bridge club tonight and a walk first thing. Getting ready to go down to South Wales on Thursday to visit my aunt for a couple of days. Our four year old from UA has started school full time and all going well. His English improves almost on a daily basis. The young brain is like a sponge! Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Morning Mick, morning All. Goodness it’s dark out there, our corner of Somerset looks cloudy

My turn for a covid booster this afternoon. All well for Mr C after his. I’m sure the garden centre coffee afterwards made a difference. grin. We’ve booked via the NHS site rather than wait for the surgery, good to get them done.

Dust removal on todays agenda along with a grocery order. I really must phone our friend in Wales, she’ll be worrying she’s not heard from us. Fibro still sapping energy, it will settle again, always does.

Excellent news harri, another full day for you grandmattie, you put me to shame.

Have the best day you can everyone. Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

harrigran Tue 13-Sept-22 06:15:45

Good morning Mick and all to follow. It is still dark and I haven't looked outside yet.
Been awake since 4.30 when a noise woke me, can't be sure but sounded like a battery low signal. I have searched the house and can't fathom out what it was.
I had letter from the consultant yesterday saying the biopsy results were fine, the polyp he removed was not precancerous a great relief. I will not need to be seen again at the hospita
SIL is coming today and we will go shopping and then return to tidying the garage.
Need to go through my wardrobe to find something that fits for a funeral I am attending tomorrow.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a dawning E Kent.
I’m sorry about all your medical stuff, Mick, I hope they are quickly resolved.
Had an unexpectedly busy day yesterday, but I was unable to sort train tickets out.
I went to the local mall and got my bras, treated myself to a pair of very comfortable wide legged jeans. I might get a second pair. Then a friend dropped in for coffee. I sent her home with an armload of DH’s jumpers for her DH with instructions to take them to a charity shop if they don’t fit/like.
In the afternoon, our local retired bishop came round for a cuppa! He had been lovely with DH and served in the funeral too.
I am in the process of turning the sock heel. Haven’t done it that way before and it requires a lot of concentration.
Today, T’ai Chi, haircut and WI meeting.
May today be gentle with you all. Hope you take your own advice and take it easy, Marydoll. Carpe diem/horam. ???❤️???

Pantglas2 Tue 13-Sept-22 06:13:18

Good morning Mick from a wet Andalusia! ☔️That wasn’t on order although they probably do need it! Hope all your medical stuff gets sorted promptly ?

My plan to sally forth to our local market may need amendment if weather doesn’t improve and a day of ? and ? (I’ve started watching The Crown again to get myself ready for series five in November and it all seems poignant at the moment?)

Hope weather improves for Urms last days and others on their ‘olidays wherever they are x
