Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning.
Today a small shop , I will then go to Bicester and browse about .
Yesterday, not aware of an appointment due going out , when I returned the letter for that appointment was in the post ,anyway I used the letter details and contacted the JR as to seeing a consultant there , email plus trying to get through on the phone etc, if it had arrived the day before I would have altered my plans for yesterday .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning everyone, it’s chilly in Co Armagh ,
I am waiting to see if the sun warms the shower room enough for me to get a wash , maybe I’m taking the saving of energy a bit too seriously ??

Newquay Fri 16-Sept-22 10:10:36

Welcome Wyllow. I’m a “lurker”-I occasionally post but read most days.

BlueSapphire Fri 16-Sept-22 09:44:28

Maw, just read your post about your weekend in Paris, and it has just brought back the forgotten dream I had last night! I dreamt that I was in Paris, and meeting a friend who lived there - she was planning where to take me, and it was so exciting! I know that I wanted to go to a particular art gallery, the Orsay, I think.

Blossoming Fri 16-Sept-22 09:42:40

The show sounds great Greyduster, enjoy yourselves. Welcome to the thread Wyllow, looking forward to hearing more.

HAZBEEN good to see you here again, hope the knees and hip don’t take too long.

Grandmabatty ????

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny ?Northampton. Have had a bit of a lie-in this morning, as I have had to be up early so often lately, and due two more early mornings tomorrow and Sunday.

Only two of.us at tap and ballet classes yesterday, so there was nowhere to hide, and we were worked really hard! Then a nice, if a little chilly,.evening walk, followed by a.meal and wine at the pub. It's our last evening walk next week, as the nights are drawing in.

A.trip out later this morning to our nearest M&S Food, as I have an order to pick up, shall probably have a bite to eat there too. I also want to make sure I have something nice to eat at home while I am watching the funeral on Monday. Then an amble around the other stores. Will probably cut the front grass when I get back.

Wishing all a pleasant Friday.

Good morning all from a sunny but very chilly Glasgow and noticeably shorter days.

Good luck for today Llfl
I’m sure sharing a coffee and a blether helped to lift your neighbour’s day Stilllearning
A warm welcome Wyllow
Bon week-end Maw

A Waitrose shop at some point today, stock up on bird food and various light bulbs to buy at our local ironmongers other than that, whatever I find on my to do list may be done - or maybe not. Reading a new book I have just started may well take preference.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s sunny in this corner of Lancashire today. There’s a definite Autumnal bite to the air.

What a nuisance about your appointment Mick, I hope it can be rearranged quickly.

No real plans for today other than housework. Also physio exercises and cycling.

Hope there’s better news for your daughter soon Gingster.

Thoughts to all with troubles and sadness.

SunshineSally Fri 16-Sept-22 08:47:25

Good morning Mick and everyone from a sunny but autumnal feeling south Hants ☀️
Mick so annoying for you that you now need to contact the JR to rearrange your appointment. I hope you are able to do this easily and that they can slot you in soon.
grandMattie such a shame that your buyers weren’t able to get funding. I shall keep everything crossed that you get a buyer soon.
Gingster so sorry that your DD is still in hospital and hope that she is soon well enough to come home.

A quiet day for us today. Will take DDog for walks as per usual and then some general admin and housework - the washing machine has a mammoth task today!

Didn’t sleep very well last night - so was checking out last minute holidays … was very tempted but need to ensure I have doggy daycare sorted first.
Thoughts to those feeling unwell, those feeling low and those with medical appointments coming up???
Have the best day you can.
Hugs and ? for you all x

Safe travels for those on the move, best wishes anyone celebrating and welcome any newbies ?.
Enjoy your Friday everyone and may you all find some ?.

Good morning from a sunny NE, where it is quite cool and the heating is on.
DS spent the afternoon with me and we finished watching Shetland, we weren't impressed with the present series and don't think I will watch the next one now that the main character has gone.
Spent the evening shredding papers, DH knew what he was doing leaving me all this work, eleven months on and I am still nowhere near being finished.
Hope you get sorted with your appointment Mick, post is rubbish at present.
Thoughts are with carers and poorly people.
Happy holidays to those off on their travels.

hulahoop Fri 16-Sept-22 08:43:13

Hello wyllow . Sorry to see your daughter still in hospital and so not being home for dd s birthday .Shopping for us today we have son ,Del and his 3 coming for lunch on Saturday .Have a good day whatever you are doing.

Taichinan Fri 16-Sept-22 08:42:33

Good morning. Sunny and bright again on the Angus coast but really really cold - 8° but with a stiff breeze coming out of the north it feels much colder. In the past I wouldn't have thought twice about putting the heating on for an hour, but this year I'm determined to leave it until at least the beginning of October! (Easy to say on a sunny day!)
Your poor daughter Gingster - that's adding insult to injury, not being home for her DD's birthday.
Mick that's so annoying missing an appointment due to a postal delay. I hope it can be rearranged quickly.
What lovely holidays many of you are having - keep on enjoying! And welcome back to Blighty Urms - glad it's not feeling too cold. Enjoy your reunion with the little ones.
Sorry about your house sale grandmattie - an annoying blip, but with the house market as it is I'm sure another purchaser will be found quickly.
A lovely class at tai chi yesterday - well, they're all lovely, but that one went better than usual! I stood back and watched the whole set (108 moves) and really I think I shall have to swap and get them to teach me! Very satisfying.
Today, the dentist's chair awaits. I don't know if there's a word 'trepidatious', but if there isn't, there ought to be! Other than that a quiet day and a leisurely weekend getting prepared for my trip down to Lincolnshire on Tuesday. Have the best day everyone x

HAZBEEN Fri 16-Sept-22 08:37:19

Good morning all!
I went for my covid booster yesterday, this time it was at a local chemist instead of miles away so I had a mooch along the high street. Thankfully we have quite a few benches along the main street so I could sit down often. I can only walk about 20/30 yards now without stopping so roll on the new knees and hip!
Washing today I think as the forecast is good and I really want to get the mattress toppers done.
Have a good day everyone, safe travel to those on the move, congrats to any celebrating and welcome to Wyllow!

EkwaNimitee Fri 16-Sept-22 08:37:09

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright but rather chilly Carlisle.
I was not amused earlier on when I opened up Gransnet to find your posts blocked by a large black advert telling me to rotate my device. This meant lifting my tablet off its stand to do so. Gransnet...this is going to be putting me off! My own posts are done on my computer as it's faster and easier to touch type on it.
Today, a little housework, some admin and gardening. I got out in the garden yesterday afternoon and put in some winter bedding. I've quite a few plants and lots of bulbs to go in. I get carried away buying the latter as I love them. My philosophy is...they'll fit in somewhere! This current garden is frustratingly small but it's manageable, my last, much loved garden was getting challenging.

Hello Wyllow3, do keep posting your doings.

Have a good day all.

hollysteers Fri 16-Sept-22 08:35:52

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Art this morning, singing this afternoon and then nail salon.
Lovely day yesterday as popped into the extensive sand dunes at the bottom of the road and did some healthy walking, picked flowers and listened to classic fm. It was a paradise.
The stream running through sadly dried up.
Your Dulce de leche ice cream sounds impressive Marydoll. I love all things Italian.
Thoughts to Gingster, what a worry, welcome Wyllow and thoughts to anyone with worries.

Gwenisgreat1 Fri 16-Sept-22 08:30:18

Good morning all from sunny Harrogate
Hope you manage to sort out your appointment Mick
Sorry about the let down with your house sale GrandMattie what a disappointment, but enjoy your trip.
Yesterday I had to clear books from two large bookcases. Typically DH found something he had to look for but couldn’t find. Today I Will undoubtedly be stripping wallpaper on my own - DH doesn’t like doing it. We’ve got someone coming to paint the room over the weekend. I was hoping to go to DDs to scrounge her windfalls.
Got appointments for us both to go for flu jabs late October
Have the best day possible folks

ShazzaKanazza Fri 16-Sept-22 08:18:21

Hello and welcome Wyllow3 ?

Urms Matt did make me laugh this morning.

Greyduster enjoy the show my husband would love that one he loves everything like that to do with space and the universe.

Urmstongran Fri 16-Sept-22 08:17:19

Gingster I’m sorry to hear your daughter is still in hospital. I do hope she’s home soon to celebrate with her 7.y.o.

? to you this morning Grandmabatty! Come back soon we miss you. Sorry to hear you’ve troubles to deal with.

grandMattie what a disappointment for you & that family over the sale of your house. Bet you were all deflated.

Oh enjoy your Parisian get away Maw! I love Paris but haven’t been for years.

You seem to be having a great time in Menorca Grandmadinosaur in a perfect location for light sea breezes. Just the ticket!

Can’t you just tell my broadband is stronger here ha! ?

Jaxjacky Fri 16-Sept-22 08:15:15

Good morning from blue skies and sun in S Hants, it was chilly getting out of the shower.
A busy day on the phones yesterday, people wanting lifts for covid and flu jabs as well as the usual medical appointments.
Tesco delivery later, bowls this evening and sorting out lifts.
Safe journey to travellers.
Enjoy your day ??

PollyDolly Fri 16-Sept-22 08:08:54

Good morning from a bright and sunny East Midlands. What a nuisance about the late appointment letter Mick; and it isn't easy trying to speak to someone to get matters resolved either!
I am also waiting on a follow-up appointment letter which I chased up yesterday only to be told "There's no availability at present"....what on earth does that mean? It's not as though it's a new referral.
Have the best day possible everyone and take care in all you do.

Stilllearning Fri 16-Sept-22 08:08:39

Morning from a bright but distinctly chilly S Lanarkshire.
Am going out this morning so resisting the urge to turn on the heating. This is so not like me!

Had a coffee yesterday with a neighbour who is very private but I know her husband has been suffering from Alzheimer’s for quite some time so when I ran into her in the supermarket I asked if she fancied a chat and to my surprise actually, she accepted. We both enjoyed ourselves and plan to do it again.

?for your daughter Gingster, so hard for her to miss the wee one’s birthday.

Wishing everyone a good day ???

Marydoll Fri 16-Sept-22 08:08:28

A warm welcome, Wyllow.

Wyllow3 Fri 16-Sept-22 08:04:45

Good morning all

As a newbie I'll read and ease myself in till I get to know people. Usually I go to the gym in the morning (gentle yoga or a swim) but today have Special Trip to computer help people for my Mac devices.

Sunny here and hope others have some sun whatever the day brings.
