Have you ever done something you really wish you hadn't (not serious thread)

I was once cooking pasta at work for large group of children to a deadline, in order to speed up the process I drained the boiling pan of pasta as I walked towards the sink.

Yep! Left the handbrake off in my car, it gradually rolled downhill and smashed into a stone wall we were having built!
The builders vehicles were in the drive so I’d parked it on the road, the drive was flat so I never bothered with the handbrake?.
It was witnessed by 3 builders and my husband.
No amount of bacon sandwiches and cups of tea was going to restore my reputation in the village.

Tried to charge my mobile phone with my laptop lead, couldn’t understand why it didn't fit. I was a senior project manager with a top IT company.
I still get reminded of it by an ex colleague.

Made my morning tea with a spoonful of coffee added

Whilst shaving my legs with a disposable razor, cleaning the hair off the blade with the tip of my finger

More than once I've used my fingers to try and expand something that isn't a phone screen

I m brilliant at burning things really excellent got an A level
in it. If you burn a saucepan boil some water with washing up powder in it works wonders that is unless you let it boil dry and burn the burnt saucepan !!!

Nearly 60 years ago I had my hair expensively bleached to a sort of Nordic blonde colour. Some months later I bought a box of hair dye in an attempt to save money in order to return to my natural colour not realising that my hair would turn green.

Mine are feeble besides these but I greedily put cream on my ice-cream once and then realised it was salad cream.
It didn't taste good.

A campsite shower; my token for hot water ran out while my hair was still lathered in shampoo. Brrr.

I.did not reverse far enough out of a double carriage before swinging to turn. I pushed all the left side of my car in and the right of DH sports car. Unfortunately, they had to go into the same garage, I was a big hit with the workmen they all came to see the lady who had dared and stood and laughed.

Just added cider vinegar to my soup. Now it tastes disgusting.

Arriving home pouring with rain, and dark.
The bin men have left the wheelie bin a bit over the drive, being lazy, and not wanting to get out and get soaking wet, I decided I could squeeze through.
The next minute I had done £3000 worth of damage to an almost brand new car.

Many years ago we had guests for dinner and a convivial evening was enjoyed. When I went to make a pot of coffee, I took out Bisto from the cupboard instead of coffee!

On a long walk near Moreton-on-the-Marsh- was desperate for a piddle. Finally found a tree I could hide behind, squatted and in full flow- heard a car beeping behind me. Had not seen that the main road was right behind where I was!

I just don't understand why the gizmo that opens my car doesn't do the same for my house? I keep trying but it still won't do it!

I made a chocolate cake with Bisto instead of cocoa.

I thought I had made couscous but it turned out that I'd made it with oatmeal.

May I add many many years ago ... anyone remember the rollers you put in a saucepan of hot water to heat up ? As I was going out, I said to my mom can you put my rollers on for when I get in please, no rollers on stove, she thought in her wisdom to put them in a dish in the oven ! As they were plastic instead of round ... sank in the middle ! God bless her ... thought that counted

Learning to drive at seventeen or eighteen I drove my mother’s car into my father’s car……broke all the lights. Then I had to go and tell them!

Years ago I went through a phase of putting things on to cook and forgetting about them (work related stress I think). Dinner was almost always burned!

Bathing my DGS, leaving the still hot water in the bath when he gets out, fully intending to put him in bed and get in the bath myself (saving water AND gas) but then forgetting.

Haha, pasta in the bin!
I paint watercolours and sometimes pop my paintbrush in my mug of coffee.
Another mistake was being persuaded to holiday in Benidorm, knowing nothing about it and being dragged round nightclubs by day and night.

Put onions in my smoothie, ugh.

I was in a public loo on my way to a dentist appointment and noticed there was no loo roll so I used a tissue out of my handbag.

About halfway through my check up I started to feel a warm sensation creeping up from where there shouldn't be one. It was hard not to squirm about as it grew stronger and I wondered what on earth was going on.

It was only when I was back in the car and checked in my handbag that I discovered the tissues had been impregnated with menthol - for cold sufferers!
