There's no rules, no rights or wrongs.
I can't make my mind up, but I guess ultimately at age 9 the parents will decide how to proceed.

My poor mum was so distressed and worried herself silly by so many things she read in DM because whatever I said, she believed it all to be true.

Grammaretto Tue 20-Sept-22 10:01:04

Seriously FannyC is that a joke?

silverlining48 Tue 20-Sept-22 09:59:04

I am sure you aren’t the only one Fanny. grin

FannyCornforth Tue 20-Sept-22 09:56:46

I think that I’m the only person on here who admits to reading the DM!

silverlining48 Tue 20-Sept-22 09:52:52

Trouble is people do read the DM but if you have the stomach to look at it, it shows what that poison mag puts out aS truth. The pity is that many people believe what they read.

The DM used to be a middle of the road paper with the Express, but it’s nothing but a lightweight scandalmag now.

At least the Daily Mail spells Catherine’s name correctly.

I don’t know if this will work but I’ve just been sent this.

Germanshepherdsmum Tue 20-Sept-22 09:32:33

My only knowledge of what the DM says comes from posters on GN.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 20-Sept-22 07:46:31

Just to say: I generally get my news from the Guardian, the I, CNN and the Sydney Morning Herald. But, I keep an eye on what the Daily Mail and Fox News are saying. My thoughts about the Mail are usually how on earth can anyone believe what they say and why haven’t they been sued to within an inch of their lives. For ten years or more they made Katherine, Princess of Wales’ life a misery with their lies and innuendo. Now they’ve moved onto Megan with a vengeance. I can’t help but be appalled. If they despise her so much why write so many articles? Worst of all is the fact that so many people believe what they read. I am always embarrassed when people I know turn out to be Daily Mail readers.

Grammaretto Tue 20-Sept-22 07:27:35

Sorry FannyC I knew what you meant, hence my grin.
I saw Meghan looking v tearful Allsorts but it did cross my mind that when the S hits the F with the new book coming out, she may have to go into hiding.

Allsorts Tue 20-Sept-22 07:00:18

I never saw a tear on Meghans face, I would be interested to see the clip you mention. I've seen them on Sophie's though and The King.
The children being there was fine, they were not focused on and were fine, they obviously chose to feel there.
The whole occasion went brilliantly.

FannyCornforth Tue 20-Sept-22 06:47:36

I think that George will step down. It’s just something I think. Nothing sinister

Grammaretto Tue 20-Sept-22 06:43:31

How come Charlotte will be Queen? Unless ofcourse she marries a king in waiting. I think there may be a Scandinavian one available in future.
grin

welbeck

i have a fantasy that when they are both about 25, they agree to do a swap; he'll pursue his own interests and support her in due time when she takes her natural place as sovereign.
ever since she gave a regal wave to the press as a ?3 year old being taken to see newborn louis, i've seen a queen in waiting.
she is a natural. he not so much. both find their metier, with mutual goodwill.

welbeck I’ve been saying similar for years! smile
I’m sure others on here can recall me banging on about it.
I’m convinced that Charlotte will be Queen.
She’s got the genes, and she’s a Middleton girl through and through!

No of course I don’t Monica but one or two would be nice wink. Nobody seems very interested in hearing my views, I feel like Billynomates grin

M0nica Mon 19-Sept-22 22:29:12

nightowl what a confession to make - you only want to talk to people who agree with you.

Well, most of us on GN are interested in hearing other people's views whether they agree or not and discussing them with them. We are capable of cogently putting our views to those who disagree with us.

Callistemon21 Mon 19-Sept-22 22:25:40

You may have noticed, (but probably didn't, no reason why you should) that this was my first post of the day

Yes, I thought it was although I haven't scoured the threads.

Thank you.

You may have noticed, (but probably didn't, no reason why you should) that this was my first post of the day. Because anybody with any modicum of decorum wouldn't be posting anything which might be interpreted as tasteless.

So I guess it was just pure chance that the first posts I see when I come online are so disrespectful and..well..tasteless.

Don't you just love a monarchist?

Blimey, volver. Have you got an early warning system on permanent alert?

Oh come on merlotgran

Don't you just love a monarchist?
volver loves us ?
Who knew!

nightowl Mon 19-Sept-22 22:19:11

It seems I’m on the wrong forum. There’s a far wider range of views on mumsnet. A lot of them even agree with me shock
Funny because I’ve never been a member.

Hellogirl1

Someone on another forum says that Charlotte said to George "You`re supposed to bow", and he did!

?

I remember her stopping Prince Louis waving enthusiastically when they were riding in the carriage at the Jubilee!

volver Mon 19-Sept-22 22:04:00

That wasn't meant for Hellogirl1, obviously.
