Apparently, according to a report by the BBC, the Royal Hospital, Chelsea is being used as a sort of upmarket "Park and Ride" for Dignitaries to the Royal Funeral tomorrow.
Guests will transfer from their cars to awaiting coaches for the journey.
It reminds me of the package holidays of old - that frisson of excitement on leaving the arrivals hall and anxiously scanning the numbers on the waiting coaches for "yours".
Not forgetting the sinking feeling on entering the coach and thinking "Oh lor', not next to him, please".
I wonder if new and lasting friendships will be made ...
I'd love to be a proverbial fly in the wall on those trips.
