Mentioning anything unusual is risky nowadays! Jeez! ?????? is it! And I thought this was a public forum!

I'll be happy to judge them It's slovenly and lazy, sets a bad example to their children and is an eyesore for everyone else. Why on earth can't they just put some clothes on, after all trousers and tops only takes 2 minutes to get into. Heaven forbid we would expect them to wash their faces or brush their hair and actually make an effort to meet the world. If they can't manage to get dressed in the morning how on earth will they manage to run a household, cook meals, supervise their children's homework, and do all the hundreds of other things a parent has to do.

Oh I love a onesie.

Especially with Vans from ShoeZone

I think it rather slovenly too but I don't care if other people want to be slovenly. Other people's slovenliness doesn't (or at least hasn't yet) caused me any discomfort.

Just checked the dictionary meaning of slovenliness and apparently it includes untidiness and dirtiness but I think those on this thread who mind about the PJ walkers possibly associate the habit with laziness more than anything unclean. Its Old Dutch and Low German meaning is slow/indolent apparently.

Love derivations ?

^I’m sorry but nothing will convince me that going out in nightclothes is decent^.

Totally agree. I find it slovenly.

Me too.

Where did I say it matters! No where in my post was I judging anyone!

No you weren’t, but mentioning anything unusual is risky nowadays.

You must have missed the family all in giraffe onesies in Sainsbury’s.
My PJs aren’t substantial enough, but as Spice101 says “As long as they are decent why does it matter?”

Spice101 Fri 23-Sept-22 09:32:37

Some people in pjs look better than some people in clothes.
As long as they are decent why does it matter?

I live in a town, and was walking out at 8am to pick up some shopping, and while I have heard that some mums do this I’ve never actually seen it, but there in front of me three mums in full pjs walking along with their children quite happy, no coats, I felt overdressed I must admit!
