Obscure word- Mullligrubs

Lovely word Jaylou I love words like bamboozle and discombobulated whilst not obscure lend richness to our language.

Malarkey is one of my favourites - can be upbeat or glum.

I've always liked the idea of a flibbertigibbet gallivanting about and causing a shenanigans. In reality, I'm too much of a sober-sides to behave like that, and then there's rigmarole.

Oh yes - rigmarole too.

I think that jippy is old fashioned as well .

Nincompoop for a very silly person .

Rapscallion - time for that one to make a comeback, IMO.

Suzy Dent's 'Word of the Day' is always carefully chosen.

I remember some TV person - possibly Esther Rantzen - who said that she would yell "Turgid ramekins" out of the car window if another driver cut her up in traffic. She got some strange looks in return, obviously, but she said it was very satisfying.

Ali08 to my recollection a flibbertigibbet is a madcap, flighty type of person who's a bit all over the place.

I believe it's mentioned in The Sound of Music song How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? a flibbertigibbet, a will-o' the wisp, a clown.
