Gas supply- I have a large oil tank (considered having gas laid on when we first moved into the house but the price for putting the supply pipes down our long drive was astronomical).
BBQ went after my husband died. It was no longer used. Never had a fire pit, Coffee machine (unless a cafetiere counts?) No dog anymore. My two cats might object.
I use my dishwasher two-three times a week. More if I have guests. The 'experts' say it is more economical than hand washing.
can I turn the topic around? I have a top rate dishwasher, which I hardly use now, one person and it is quicker and much cheaper to wash daily dishes by hand. I wish I had not bought it when I moved
You need to buy more dishes (assuming you have space, but of course most of the time they'd bre in the dishwasher)
Now, I know there are loads of posters on here who never read posts, but I wonder why no-one has asked what Ailidh does without a cooker, or Aveline without pans? I’m also confused by the things people have replied as being ‘normal’, like firepits and spiralisers! And, may I infer that Skomer is a bald gentleman, hence no brush or comb?
A television. Over 25 years people have given them to us (under all sorts of guises......the kids are deprived.....you must not be able to afford one......been left to us......been left in houses we have moved into)......they come in the front door and they go out through the back door. They never stay.
I don't have Sky, Netflix or any other fancy channels, we only have BBC, ITV Channel 4, Sky Arts. We only have channels which don't cost extra money, and we don't miss them!
Dishwasher-I’d love one but sadly no room in my small kitchen unless a complete makeover which is sadly not possible! Husband. Did give two a try, the second for far too long. They didn’t work properly so returned! Dog. Don’t need one although I love them and had them for many years. My family have several and I spend a great deal of time pet sitting them in my home for various reasons so don’t fee the lack! CD/DVD players. I stream everything-less clutter and dusting! BBQ/Firepit. I live in a flat!
My dishwasher goes on once a week and is far more environmentally friendly than washing by hand every day. I live by myself and have enough crockery to last the week. Nothing to do with laziness.
Alexa Pet Slippers Air fryer Shoes with high heels Hats ( except a bobble hat for walks when temperatures are below zero) Nail varnish What is a fire pit?
BBQ, instant coffee, TV in living room, air fryer, Alexa, boiling water tap, games console, Satellite dish, pressure cooker, slow cooker.
We do have slippers, a dishwasher, spiralizer (I use it), coffee grinder, electric blanket and, since moving house in 2020, an en suite bathroom (in fact two!)
I don't own a microwave anymore. We haven't for about 6 years. I've no intention of ever getting a new one. We rarely used it. It was just taking up space
