Me:

Wordle
Quordle
Trickster
I used to play Candycrush and got completely hooked. Had to delete the app and haven’t dared go anywhere near it since.

What are fantasy threads on GN please?

MaggsMcG Mon 03-Oct-22 13:15:27

Many things and they change over time. I've done all the "dle" games including Heardle and Worldle. Got bored.
Done Candy Crush and Bejewelled and now on Word Trip. All help to keep my brain going but I also get addicted. Also TikTok. I will soon look for a Christmas game to play for a few months. I think my biggest waste of time is watching Old TV Series over and over again and Christmas Movies. I'm happy though so that should count of something.

That last comment was supposed to be in reply to the person who watches videos about making bags etc but doesn't get around to it, it seems to hav appeared as a stand alone message without the previous thread. Sorry.

I am so glad that I am not the only one! Someday I will get around to it.

Ali08 Mon 03-Oct-22 13:07:01

Oh, and 'Township', and 'The New York Times' crosswords & games, & GN games, too. Lol
I hope you're all enjoying wasting time!

Last night, I started reading the news items on my phone. First, the main items, then the local ones. They somehow led me to bridezillas, people who are considered 'influencers' & to the Ukrainian girl who was taken in by a couple then ran off with the husband who subsequently dumped her, & now she's complaining she has to go back to Ukraine.
BlueBelle, I'm sure you'll agree, she should have kept her legs tightly shut and her knickers on!!
H&M, not the shop but you-know-who, have had a couple of possible break-ins at their current 9 bedroom $14 million home in California, and now they want to move to a gated home that may cost them a whopping $22 million, although I didn't get to how many bedrooms that may have but they're dropping their PR firm as they feel they are wasting money there!
And then something else distracted me that seemed like a good read....well, you get the picture!
BTW, how much time did you waste reading this? ??

Lesley60 Mon 03-Oct-22 13:02:01

Addicted to candy crush, I think I need to get out more ?

Babs758 Mon 03-Oct-22 12:58:42

@Bluebelle - I see “that” thread has been taken down. !

Thirdinline Mon 03-Oct-22 12:57:29

@Zoejory thank you, Heardle sounds right up my street. I suspect I’ll be much better at the older tunes.

Ali08 Mon 03-Oct-22 12:54:26

BlueBelle

Wordle quordle and answering stupid women who want to have an affair with a married man ?holds head in hands and gives it a wobble

BlueBelle, are you an agony aunt somewhere? How many of these women do you come across each day?

Redhead56 Mon 03-Oct-22 12:53:30

Grans net in between house hold jobs that can wait I’m in no hurry. Recipe websites I have a house full of cookery books. I don’t need to waste time on cookery websites but I do. I spend a lot of time feeding birds and squirrels and pottering in our garden it’s precious time to me not wasted time.

NotSpaghetti Mon 03-Oct-22 12:52:50

Witzend

Since when is tidying a waste of time? ?

Tidying is ALWAYS a waste of time here!

Otis Mon 03-Oct-22 12:50:40

Competitions. I do loads and, surprisingly, I sometimes win something

Sawsage2 Mon 03-Oct-22 12:50:30

Watching the birds in my garden.

saltnshake Mon 03-Oct-22 12:49:22

Add worldle geography and octordle to games already mentioned. I also watch Takis shelter and quilting programmes on you tube. Unfortunately that means I often find another quilt I would like to make to add to my ever growing list.

Lizzie44 Mon 03-Oct-22 12:47:50

Wordle, Waffle, crosswords, sudoku, reading newspaper, watching old TV comedy (such as Victoria Wood, Morecambe & Wise, Billy Connolly). All make me feel happy and relaxed so not really a waste of time.

NanKate Mon 03-Oct-22 12:45:07

With my morning cuppa I spend at least an hour as follows.

Weather forecast
Emails
BBC News online
News online
GN
Wordle
Classic Words
Spider something ?
and more........

I'm totally hooked. I usually do the same at night !

silvercollie Mon 03-Oct-22 12:43:29

Love doing nothing, just being. But then I don't find this a waste of time.
After all we are human BEINGS not human doings.

MrsBoot Mon 03-Oct-22 12:40:02

Reading through GN and other forums, reading the paper and doing crossword and soduko. Anything other than getting on with more pressing jobs.

LuckyFour Mon 03-Oct-22 12:36:43

I do Wordle and Phrasel, but I don't consider them a waste of time. A 10-minute challenge in a morning has to be good for the brain. I also like Crossword and Codeword in the weekend newspapers.

Amalegra Mon 03-Oct-22 12:29:34

Surfing the net and finding such interesting things to read!
Reading most of my online newspaper (Telegraph). Is this time wasting I ask myself. Not when it’s news but probably when it’s some of the drivel they write!
Looking at my emails and getting sidetracked, especially with shopping!
As above for EBay, Amazon etc.
Online forums like GN, Quora, FB. A glorious way to waste time!
Napping!

Rozlee Mon 03-Oct-22 12:24:02

I love TikTok

DaisyL Mon 03-Oct-22 12:22:51

Looking at live webcams of safari parks in Africa and following live safaris - can spend hours watching elephants drinking or giraffes eating!

GrammarGrandma Mon 03-Oct-22 12:15:10

Wordle, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, internet rabbit holes.

Quizzer Mon 03-Oct-22 12:14:55

Ooh I hadn’t found Quordle before. Now I have another thing to ‘waste my time’ on ?
