What do you waste your time doing?

I have an interior design game app called Redecor. I spend too much time playing it....sighs.

Cycling, Swimming, Gardening. Reading, Surfing the Net.

Scrolling GN, Instagram and now Tik tok videos ?

Getting engrossed in a movie on Netflix which instead of finishing after Season 1, has another 2 Seasons following. So I just watch bits and pieces of the last 2 Seasons and find that I haven't missed much.

Cycled 7 miles to loch, had 30min swim, chat with friends, ate plums and cake, came home ate more now thawing out on couch with dog surfing net!

What do I waste my time doing?

Nothing

YouTube - looking up a particular song/piece of music, and then disappearing down a YouTube rabbit hole.
Particularly bad around December, when I fancy hearing e.g In The Bleak Midwinter by e.g. King’s College, and then listen to 13 more.
More recently having a yen for With Cat-like Tread* followed by several more G&S ditties.
*there’s a v good flash mob one on a beach, by some musical theatre group, an Aussie one IIRC.

Gransnet and silly word games like boggle online. I could argue they were for keeping the mind going but it would be a lie!

Procrastinating.

Playing Number Match on my phone. It is sooooooooo addictive.

Nothing I do is "wasting time", it's merely avoiding things I don't want to do. I am generally very successful.

Pinterest. Whether it’s garden design, decorating or upcycling furniture, I can waste loads of time on there.

I like to think I am not wasting my time doing Wordle or Nerdle, rather I am keeping my mind active and ticking over!

YouTube has videos of pitiful, stray animals who are rescued and restored to health. I love watching expert groomers remove the horrible, matted hair and overgrown hooves/claws. The transformations are so heartwarming.

I spend hours watching videos of people making lovely bags and pouches out of scraps of material. I have plenty of material and ideas , especially for presents, but I somehow never make it to my sewing machine!
