Yes it does seem odd, but the request for a review was at the end of the ordering transaction. I was daft to do it but thought I could take the opportunity to say the new procedure was not as easy as the old one. Never again.

how can you write a review for something you haven't really used too? surely people need to review a fridge/cooker etc after 6 months of using it

Today I bought some products from Holland and Barrett online. They have changed the procedure for buying their items and it was quite a palaver. In the past it was just select and item, put it in the basket and pay. However this time there were more stages to get to the basket.

When I had paid online I was immediately asked for a review. I titled it ‘Good products’ then I said I preferred the old style of ordering. It then asked for a name I wanted to be known by for the review and I gave a shortened version of my name, it immediately said they already had that one for another customer with that name, so I gave a completely different name which again was rejected. I put in the name of a character in a book, rejected, then the BBC, again rejected. I then realised that they were not accepting my criticism.

Some of you may remember I had the same problem with Boots, who wouldn’t accept my review until I had watered it down.

What a swizz companies only want good reviews and won’t accept constructive feedback.

No more reviews from me.
