I know these have been mentioned on various threads about keeping warm in winter recently but I wasn't paying much attention and now cannot find your useful recommendations.

Have now decided these would be very useful for keeping warm this winter.

Ugg boots? They are lovely.

I have Fat Face Sienna mules. They are cosy but think I will be watching this thread for recommendations for a full slipper.

I was given a pair of Celtic and Co's Venetian slippers for Christmas last year, after putting them on my wish list. They keep my feet lovely and warm and have a good grip, so no risk of slipping on the stairs. Still got lots of wear in them ?

Fabulous slippers. My first pair lasted 4 years. Now on the second year of my second pair. The quality is fabulous.

I absolutely love my house boots from Celtic Sheepskin - I live in them in winter. Ugg type/shape but made in Cornwall, not China or anywhere else.

Current pair must be at least 5 years old and they’re machine washable. You can wear them outside too, but the soles are lighter than for their outdoor boots.

They do several other styles of slippers if you don’t want boots.
Which reminds me, I need to order a new pair for dh for Christmas.

Another vote for Celtic - I like their mule slippers, and they last for years.

You won’t find better than Drapers of Glastonbury, made in Somerset with British wool. Not cheap initially but they last and most importantly they are warm. I buy the ones with rubber soles so I can nip outside with them on.

I use ugg boots as they keep my ankles warm too in winter and I like bare feet, slippers apart, at home.
I like slider style in summer months. My tendency is to wander in and out of doors in them.

I suspect the House of Bruar ones are Drapers. If you live locally or are visiting Drapers have a factory shop. Not just slippers, but boots, scarves, gloves, jumpers hats etc.

Skye Skyns have lovely slipper boots and moccasins. I bought some in their shop in Waternish a few years ago and they’ve lasted really well. You can buy them online.

I’d love a sheepskin coat as we spend a lot of time outdoors. Does anyone know of any that aren’t over-bulky and totally frumpy?

Celtic & Co. I’ve got their sheepskin slippers, one pink pair, one green. They go in the washer and you can buy new fleece inner soles if you wear the old ones out. I’ve had many for many years.

They’re made in Cornwall and in fact C&C used to own the Ugg name, which they sold.

Sky dancer try The British Sheepskin Company.

The British Sheepskin Company also do slippers. Made in Somerset.

I can recommend Shepherd of Sweden slippers. I bought mine a couple of years ago from Rew clothes shop who stock a few styles but more are available from www.westmorlandsheepskins.co.uk/collections/shepherdofsweden-slippers

I’ve posted this elsewhere, but Celtic Sheepskin have a 10% online discount at the moment.,
