I really need some!
Mine are rolling up and down like a blind each time I move.

Any suggestions, please?

Reasonably priced, obviously tight arse

Sloggies for me every time.

nadateturbe Fri 14-Oct-22 09:59:33

I used to buy those too PinkCosmos.
I tried cheaper ones. As you say, false economy.

PinkCosmos Fri 14-Oct-22 09:47:28

I used to buy the Sloggis with the panel at the front. Around £25 for 3.

Bon Marche do very similar knickers for half the price.

However, the Sloggis do seem to have a better elastic waistband and stay looking good for longer. So maybe the BM ones are false economy

letting our bits air

It conjures up a certain image in my mind ?

Should we hang them on the line?

Also, I was once ill whilst wearing a nightie sans pants and I still remember the paramedic pulling my nightie down to cover me. The embarrassment!

I’m the same nadateturbe
I also wear little socks in bed.
Am I supposed to let my feet air?
No offence at all, Sparklefizz, it always make me smile about ‘letting our bits air’. smile

nadateturbe Thu 13-Oct-22 14:04:06

Yes I've heard that Sparklefizz, but if I'm wearing Pj's and I want to wear them more than one night I'd rather have pants on.

Sparklefizz Thu 13-Oct-22 13:32:49

Wearing knickers in bed is supposedly unhealthy. We should apparently let the air get to our bits.

Sloggies are simply the best knickers ever. I’m a 16size. They do last. They stay in place. Comfortable with just a little bit of support.

Chestnut Wed 12-Oct-22 10:13:45

GrandmasueUK I used to be an M & S cotton full brief, but they are such poor quality now and the elastic is awful.
Aren't they just? I used to buy BHS full briefs but we all know what happened to them. So I went over to M&S but the quality has gone down and they are now just cheap tat. I've now bought Playtex Cherish Maxi Briefs (3 Pairs for £16) from Country Collection and they seem fine.

GrandmasueUK Wed 12-Oct-22 00:40:59

These are now my go to briefs. I used to be an M & S cotton full brief, but they are such poor quality now and the elastic is awful. These are from Taking Shape and are everyday bamboo briefs, on special offer at £11 for 2 pairs and they come in different colours. I like the legs on these as they are flat and crossed over, rather than round and the waistband doesn’t roll down either. I’ve now got them in all 5 colours and they are incredibly comfortable to wear. I used to like the cotton ones for comfort in hot weather, but the bamboo ones are very cool. They do lots of other styles and patterns as well, but I’ve not tried them yet. They do sizes 12 to 30 in some styles and colours, but they are not all available at the moment.

I think underwear all needs to be dried naturally and the same might apply to any item of clothing that has stretchy qualities.

nadateturbe Tue 11-Oct-22 14:58:11

I said about the radiator further back. Forgot to mention tumble drier. My OH has shrunk sloggis in tumble dryer.

Chestnut Tue 11-Oct-22 13:35:42

I may be stating the obvious but never put anything containing elastic on a radiator to dry, knickers, bras, shower caps etc. The fibres will perish very quickly and it will lose it's elasticity! I would imagine a hot tumble drier would have the same effect.

Hi nadateturbe - I am interested to know what knickers are comfortable in bed, please? smile

I thought someone would comment ?.
Loose satiny ones without stretch. Definitely not sloggi.

Thank you nadateturbe smile

I recently bought some Miss Mary red knickers, which are very comfortable. Not cotton though and quite dear. They are very plain which I like

These knicks are ridiculously comfortable!

I'm a bit sorry now that I ordered some Sloggi ones.

Auntieflo Mon 10-Oct-22 12:01:31

MerylStreep, I watched that video and it reminded me of the time mum had a new Playtex girdle. Anyone remember those?

I may have told this before, but she had to get dad to help her get into it. He held it, and she jumped up and down. I don't know how she got out of it. Maybe scissors?

M&S big knickers for me. Comfort all the way.

Maybee70. I bought some Snag tights and am waiting for the colder weather to wear them again. They did come up a bit big, but I'm not complaining.

I know this is a ‘ pants’ thread , but can anyone recommend tights that don’t have a crotch that only comes halfway up your legs and the body rolls down ? I’m 5’ 8” and size 18 can’t seem to find any! Thanks n advance x

I haven’t bought any yet but Snag tights look good. I’ve got boxes full of tights that I can’t wear. I’ve usually bought them for special occasions eg wedding, which is the only time I wear dresses and I can never find a pair that fit me so I will buy a pack and find they’re useless.

hollysteers Mon 10-Oct-22 11:10:02

Tupperware for me, uncomfortable, but they keep everything fresh ?

So far, so good.
Not a roll down in sight.

No itches, or wedgies, very soft, but very sturdy.
