Good morning all from bright but chilly Harrogate
You have got a lot on GrandMattie take care.
Yesterday I baked an Eve’s pudding, and upside down cake 3 crumbles and an apple pie - most to go in the freezer.
It was catch up telly in the afternoon zzzz!
Hoping to go into town this am. Got to get my train ticket for my trip to Edinburgh on Tuesday!
Have the best day possible folks.

Good morning all from a cool Glasgow, where its only 8°C.

Not surprisingly, I feel grim after my vaccinations yesterday. I just want to curl up and lie in bed.
However, we have Dollie, overnight and she is all built up for coming.
The situation at the vaccination centre was an absolute shambles, with people crammed in like sardines and others queuing in the rain for nearly an hour. There were few seats in the waiting area, I ended up hopping from one leg to another.
Today, I intend to write to our MP, whom I have known since he was a boy. Disabled and infirm people, queuing in the street in a monsoon and no parking, is unacceptable.
I was shocked at the large number of people, who had to be politely asked to wear a mask in the venue.
Anyway rant over!

GM, a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, but please be careful you are not overdoing things. I was like you, pushed myself too far. Look where that got me. I thought I was indestructible and indispensable, I wasn't!
Taking care of your own wellbeing is so important. ?

Glad you saw a car you liked, Greysduster. I recently parked beside an elderly lady in an emerald green mini, I had to tell her how much I admired it!

I will love you and leave you as my mother used to say. For those meeting up with family, enjoy and safe journey to all, who are travelling.

Good morning all, it’s another damp one here in South Lanarkshire.

We partnered friends at a quiz last night, no winning prize but no wooden spoon either. Phew!

Work today, just three hours, I’m looking forward to it.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It rained heavily last night but has dawned bright, dry and chilly.
My family are arriving at lunchtime and won't tell me what the plans are for the rest of the weekend. It's my birthday and our wedding anniversary tomorrow.....I hate surprises......
DH and DS say they've not been told anything by DDs.
Love to all ? x

Good morning everyone. Must get moving soon as I having my flu jab just after 9. Luckily only a few minutes walk to the surgery.
A food shop and then home.
DGS 2 is off on an adventure day with his Daddy so DD3 and smallest DGS are coming her for lunch along with MIL. We are having homemade lasagne.

Hope the weekend is a good one for all.

Good morning from a chilly (8deg) but fine Torbay.

Thinking of you, grandMattie, on this poignant day. I hope your guest gets some medical help today. Everything seems to be happening at once for you.

Coffee morning at church then lunch with the ‘Allo, ‘Allo gang which will be fun. Luckily, it’s at a restaurant within walking distance of my home. Last night I was in the company of Herr Flick who was Front of House Manager at our theatre. He was rather more charming as that than on stage in August!

I hope all the plans for outings and family gatherings go to plan. ?????

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, chilly corner of Somerset. Sunshine promised later, hooray.

Another disturbed night, it will be a grumpy cornerland today I fear. Should have the boiler serviced this afternoon, perhaps a short walk this morning before searching out some family history stuff at the request of a younger granddaughter with a history research project to complete. ‘No dear, I don’t remember my Dad’s Uncle killed in the Somme.!’ I do however have a heap of information, somewhere, that will help her.

Seeing family will lift your spirits * kitty*. A challenging day ahead grandmattie, my love to you all.

Enjoy what you can of the day everyone. Hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sky is lightening and it promises to be a nice day. There was a wonderful moon last night that I managed to get sone photos of, and Jupiter is so close to earth at the moment that if you have a steady hand with a pair of binoculars, you can see two of its moons. Amazing. (You can tell I don’t get out much?). My test drive went very well yesterday in spite of the awful weather - Mini Cooper Clubman is very nippy indeed, comfortable and fun to drive. Food for thought. Today I have a small shop to do and some stuff to sort out for then the plumbers come in on Monday.
Safe journeys to anyone travelling today and a hug for anyone who needs one.
Have a good day folks.

Good morning all from a slowly lightening North Leicestershire where it is very cold.

A visit expected today from DD3 and co and then fish and chips.

Have the best day possible.

Good morning, it’s a chilly start here too.
I’m not surprised you were tire grandMattie, there’s so much going on in your life ? Please take care of yourself x
I’m debating whether to have a trip to Salisbury today, I feel restless and I haven’t had a day out for a couple of years ?
DH isn’t interested so he can walk DDog today.
I really need a pair of comfortable smarter shoes, all the Hotter shops around here have closed ? and the painful ankles mean I need something supportive.
I hope the weekend goes well for everyone x

good morning from s somerset and am looking forward to a beautiful sunny day

I shall be off to the local shops at 9 for a few things and to the library, to get a book, any book as I have been told that funding depends on this

I hope I get myself out for a cycle ride, just an hour and afterwards will be a sewing and pottering day. Still being glued to the changes on my smart meter monitor, installed yesterday

GM, inspirational and busy as always

Here’s Matt.

Wow grandMattie I’m in awe. You take busyness to a whole new level! I hope your family find comfort from each other today at the poignant event you have planned.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s still dark but seems mild out and it’s dry. I hope it’s a fine day as daughter and son in law set off at noon to attend a wedding. Himself has a ‘flu jab booked then we are over to mind the smalls. The Boy Wonder has a football match late morning and L’il Miss has a class birthday party this afternoon. We are staying over and won’t see the wedding guests till noon - after they’ve enjoyed a leisurely hotel breakfast!

Hope Saturday is good to us all. I must buy a lottery ticket.

Good morning from a dark chilly E Kent. The temperatures are in single figures.
I spent the day doing “stuff”, going to the dump, supermarket, sending DD to the charity shop with almost the last of DH’s clothes and shoes, making 8 doz fairy cakes and icing them…. I was pretty tired by the end.
DD was wonderful helping my lodger with telephoning the surgery ‘you are no. 273 in the queue” situation - her stump was very swollen and she was very out of sorts. The nurse is visiting this morning, probably when we are out, burying DH’s remains.
The family will come back here for tea, the house is too small especially with a wheelchair for them to stay for lunch.
The girls arrived late last night and I have yet to make two recipes worth of pancakes for breakfast!
Hope you all have a gentle day. Carpe diem. ?????❤️

Good Morning Everyone,
Dark but dry outside here in brackley this morning.
Today I plan to get the bus to Buckingham and then another to Bicester for the scenery change.
I when in Bicester go to my favourite cafe and have a breakfast bap , one thing being a bakery cafe , its using bread not baked to far from the shop outlet.
Take Care,
Mick
